Ballard moves onto the championship game vs. PRP tonight at 8.

Only 2 teams have won the King of the Bluegrass, LIT and State Tournament in the 32 year history of the KOB. Can Ballard do it this year? Can you name the two teams and what school year (example 2013-14) Ballard KOB 2013, Ballard LIT (2014 ?) State Tournamnet (2014 ?)

I believe T did it 2 years ago, but not sure who the other team is.

Both teams were Fairdale back to back. Carlos Turner, Killer Morris, Jermaine Brown and Co.

Kelan Martin was a load today. I believe he is much more versatile this year than last, has a good outside jumper and is good down low. He fouled out Owens and Thienemann. When Szabo put Spalding on him, he was not quite as effective but I think some out that might be attributable to fatigue because I don't think he sat much. Snyder came through clutch at the end. Having Owens sit with foul trouble left a hole in Trinity's defense and inside offensive game. Trinity played a lot of players and they all competed well. They are not too far behind Ballard (I hope).

Man, what a matchup. It's a shame only one can go to the state tourney.

Only one Brown, Morris, Turner Fairdale team did it….89-90 team. The 90-91 team lost to Tates Creek by 2 in the finals of the KOB but won the LIT and State. Trinity did not do it. Still one team left.

Christ Presbyterian won the KOB that year, but I think Trinity did win the LIT and the Lexington Catholic holiday tournament.

Fellas, if you missed this game today you missed one of the best basketball games that will be played this season. It was a super competitive game that was close all the way. Congrats to both teams.

Trinity has had two chances to be the better team and lost both times.

It's a shame both these great teams are in the same region. But the 7th region is usually loaded every year.

Have to throw out the first game since Spalding didn't play in the second half. That would be like Ballard losing Snider for a half.

There never has been a gap IMO. If Trinity wins the 7th region I'm thinking most people will be picking them to win the Sweet 16.
