January 5, 201412 yr The only way to get rid of Dalton is to get rid of Marvin Lewis...Time for a change....if the GM doesn't do anything this offseason with the staff then he needs to go
January 5, 201412 yr I did want to see James Harrison get a chance at post season success, but other than that, I had a feeling this was gonna happen. Easy to say after the fact I know, but still... Don't worry, this actually didn't surprise anyone....except maybe one member on here.

January 5, 201412 yr In all seriousness, Kroger or no one else should ever stop the blackout of a Bengals game again until Marvin Lewis is gone. Totally inexcusable in the way they played today. They won every game at home this season and than get crushed the way they did. It's obvious at this point that Marvin Lewis won't win a playoff game.
January 5, 201412 yr I will never get "die-hard" Bengal fans, they are like strip bar patrons..........go in all worked up and walk out with a drained wallet and disappointed. However, whatever floats your boat.
January 5, 201412 yr Very proud of my Chargers today. 1) Melvin Ingram, Kendall Reyes, Cam Thomas, and Corey Liegut are very young and up-and-coming defensive front; 2) Chargers kept their mouths shut; 3) Shocked at how well we ran the ball, even after Hardwick and Matthews went out; 4) Rivers only had to throw 16 passes, but they were all efficient; 5) Pay Mike Scifres as much money as he wants. Great punter. You guys were pinned back most of the second half.

However, whatever floats your boat. Bengals fans believe in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before them. It eluded them then, but that's no matter - tomorrow they will run faster, stretch out their arms farther..... And then one fine year - So they beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
January 5, 201412 yr Finally home from that debacle. What can you say, a total 2nd half butt kickin'. I knew when I saw Marvin's Press Conference Wednesday when asked what they are doing different this year. Nothing he said. You would have thought they learned something. I was at the game but did our o-line get dominated as much as it looked by their DT's? It will probably be the same ol' same ol' next year. It is certainly maddening being a Bengals fan I may die before a Cincinnati team advances in the playoffs.

I am not entirely sold on the oline looking as bad because Dalton did have time many times yet panicked and ran out of the pocket early to throw the ball away etc., but Dalton did look as bad as hhe did in person. That is a fact.

I am not making excuses for Dalton, he was horrible the 2nd half, but it looked like they were in his face the whole game. The only good thing to come out of this is I'm gonna' save 10K not going to the Super Bowl.
January 5, 201412 yr Same old Bengals. Feel sorry for the saps that laid out hundreds of dollars to see that poor excuse for an NFL football team. What a joke...
January 5, 201412 yr I did want to see James Harrison get a chance at post season success, but other than that, I had a feeling this was gonna happen. Easy to say after the fact I know, but still... I believe he already has had his post season success...
January 5, 201412 yr Don't worry, this actually didn't surprise anyone....except maybe one member on here. Don't call out people in threads they haven't posted in do ya? I said in the Bengals playoff chances thread that even though I liked the Bengals chances against the Chargers. It is the playoffs and anything is possible and all it takes is one bad game. The chargers had beaten the Chiefs twice, beat Denver in Denver, and beat the Colts. Now with us they have beaten 4 of the 6 AFC playoff teams at some point this year. With that said there is no excuse for the Bengals to have not only lost but to look very bad doing so. The past two years I was disappointed but I didn't think the seasons were a complete failure because I knew they were building a good team and just not there yet. Well all the pieces were there for them to make a run this year and they blew it, and so this season definitely is a complete failure. We said all along it would all come down to Dalton on how far they go. All the other pieces are there and the talent showed all year even with the injuries. However Dalton once again sucked in the playoffs, and once again the Bengals are out in the first round. No excuse season was a failure.

I'm glad you finally realize same old same old doesn't get it. But what do you change? Me. 1st is whole coaching staff staff goes.
