Randle is a lot of things but I don't think a wimp is one of them. I think the dunk was more of a surprise than anything else. Russ was at the rim before half the team realized what was happening. A great play, a great dunk. Nothing more, nothing less.

I took it more as Randle not wanting to draw another foul...but those could just be my blue blinders. Either way, great explosive play by Russ Smith.

Some buddies and I went to the UC/UL game in Cincy in 1980 because they were the "Doctors of Dunk." Sat in the very top row of the coliseum. Naturally, UL had exactly ZERO dunks that game so we left a bit disappointed. Per usual, we went to McDs in Florence. UL's bus pulls up and in comes the team. We're standing behind Wiley Brown and his "thumb" and we ask "Wiley, why no dunks?" He responded with a quote I still use today "two points is two points, man."
