December 30, 201312 yr This gives me the chance to (again) tell my Wiley Brown story. Some buddies and I went to the UC/UL game in Cincy in 1980 because they were the "Doctors of Dunk." Sat in the very top row of the coliseum. Naturally, UL had exactly ZERO dunks that game so we left a bit disappointed. Per usual, we went to McDs in Florence. UL's bus pulls up and in comes the team. We're standing behind Wiley Brown and his "thumb" and we ask "Wiley, why no dunks?" He responded with a quote I still use today "two points is two points, man." I used to wear a shirt during some b-ball practices in high school that read "When a dunk is worth 3 points, I'll start doing it!" Of course, I played on a high school team where I was the only player that couldn't dunk...lol.
December 30, 201312 yr Randle's dunk in first half was weak:thumb: I guess , no one even stepped in to challenge him:scared:.Oh yeah he blew by them:angrybird8: I forgot.

January 4, 201412 yr Did I want them to win the game? Of course... Who wants to lose to a rival? The "who cares" was relative to the fact that UofL won their bowl game, which was a MUCH bigger win than beating UK in basketball could ever be, unless on a Monday in April. Football games in December > Basketball games in December. So an exhibition game means more than a game that helps seeding for a run at another title. Not buying it.
