December 26, 201312 yr I didn't ask for anything and I told anyone who asked that I didn't want anything. My Christmas present is knowing that my family is healthy and that everyone in my household is a follower of Christ. That may sound corny to some but I can't express strongly enough what a blessing that is to me and how much peace that brings me. My wife, however, knew what I wanted and she and my boys got me a drill press :ylsuper: Then on Christmas eve, my band saw blew a motor, so I guess that is the next thing on my list. I also got a a couple shirts and a jacket from my in-laws A Lowes gift card from my parents An EKU alumni t shirt and cap that I bought myself, lol A Reds t shirt and some drill bits and a couple of hand tools from my kids. My wife and I got to spend another Christmas with both sets of our parents and we have enjoyed it greatly.

December 26, 201312 yr Just a little rant here...... I will be calling or emailing Verizon Wireless this week to discuss their Equipment notification procedures and give my worthy 2 cents. Our family company has been with Verizon Wireless since 1986 with over 60 lines of service and have suffered through a few carrier name changes and have been a very loyal customer. While I thought I was surprising my 13 year old daughter with a new Iphone 5S yesterday, she broke the news to me after she opened it up that she knew she was getting it. She said the day that I ordered the phone that Verizon sent her a complimentary text message congratulating her on her new purchase. What!!!! That is some Oscar Mayer Bologna right there. I guess the next time I try to surprise someone with a phone I will order it under another upgrade so the Surprise isn't ruined. Thanks Verizon! Ok I'm done..... December 26, 201312 yr Best part of my Christmas was coordinating with a buddy I used to play ball against in HS at Ludlow the delivery of a brand new pair of Nike Basketball shoes to a 10th grade student at Ludlow High School. He is friends with Randy Wofford the Varsity Boys coach and he was going to deliver the shoes to the boy this week. Apparently, the young man does not have parents and lives with his Grandmother. There is no better feeling than knowing you made someone else's day brighter.
