Best part of my Christmas was coordinating with a buddy I used to play ball against in HS at Ludlow the delivery of a brand new pair of Nike Basketball shoes to a 10th grade student at Ludlow High School. He is friends with Randy Wofford the Varsity Boys coach and he was going to deliver the shoes to the boy this week. Apparently, the young man does not have parents and lives with his Grandmother.

There is no better feeling than knowing you made someone else's day brighter.

That's first class Q.

A rolling tool chest so I can finally organize all my tools

Season Six of the Big Bang Theory (pretty good of the episodes I have seen so far)

A pair of Carhartt Jeans.

Oh and my niece gave me a split chin while we were rough housing. That kids fights dirty!

I love that! I wish there was a place to do more things like this. I'm not a fan of mindlessly throwing money at some charity and not really knowing how much gets used or where it goes.

I got a little bit of cash and a few shirts from my parents. Me and my wife don't buy anything for ourselves, we'd rather spend the money on our kids.

My wife gave me a successful first semester of med school, as well as a set of Tevolo ice sphere molds and all of the first 7 James Bond movies (all of the Sean Connery bonds) on Blu-ray, so ZERO complaints there.

Besides that, I got...

-A really nice U of L pullover

-Several solid additions to my vinyl record collection

-A sweet storage box for my 45 rpm's

-A Cincinnati Reds 40s/50s era ballcap

-A NICE kitchen/grill thermometer

-Renewals to my subscriptions to National Geographic, Kentucky Afield, Garden & Gun and Bon Apetit

-Money towards a new tablet

-Got a chance to shoulder and dryfire my 45 caliber flintlock Kentucky Longrifle, now entering year 5 of building. My uncle has been hand-building the gun and it's now in the somewhat final stages of hand-carving and hand-engraving all of the details. It's amazing.

Some Cash

New travel bag

Couple shirts

Socks, underwear, white t's (time to throw away some of the old ones)

Several Gift Cards

Pants that don't fit

But the real gift will come on the 5th of January, as we fly out to Punta Cana for

vacation. My wife and I started a couple years ago taking vacation in January, and

I couldn't ask for better Christmas present than sun, sand, and mid 80's in January.
