Someone should explain to him how the jet stream effects our weather drastically in this part of the US and how we also have gulf winds that carry warm air and often time moisture right up the Ohio valley and east coast. If you look at temperature maps it's not hard to piece it all together really.

I know how the jet stream works, Im not some uneducated idiot. But I dont close my eyes to opinions on both sides either, unlike some, I keep an open mind and dont really trust what I hear from either side. I can see how the planet has changed with my own eyes.

It has always been my assumption that to measure global warming, you need to measure the temperatures all across the planet and examine averages. Simply looking at the weather where you live does not give enough data to draw any conclusions from.

And just because it will be warm for 2 days this week in KY doesn't mean the rest of the planet is warming. Just because November 2013 was above average in temps doesn't mean the plant is warming. Last time I checked the planet was billions of years old not a couple of hundred.

Only data was kept from 1880 to now, not billions of years ago. And yes there is a steady or gradual increase in global warmth. Just look at records to see the gradual increase, look at how the environment has changed from the years of growing up and the weather change.

Temperatures will trend upward Thursday and Friday from the South to New England.

 

By the weekend, temperatures may challenge record highs from the Gulf Coast to the Ohio Valley and the mid-Atlantic.
