Changing to snow in Louisville as we speak.

So...left the house at 5:45am this morning for French Lick. Got there at 8:45am, driving through some treacherous ice. By 10am, 2 inches of snow had fallen there, so I left at 11am. I just got home. I spent 6 hours on the road driving through a freezing hell, to work 1 hour. :lol:

Let me just put it this way...I am anxiously awaiting 4:30, when I will log off Citrix and pop open that bottle of Yellow Tail Shiraz. My hands hurt from gripping the steering wheel so tightly for so long, and My shoulders and back are killing me from the tension. PLUS, since I am the driver in any bad weather because the lady I share rides with won't drive in it, I had to put up with her incessent chatter the whole way...both ways! I wanted to scream, "SHUT UP! YOUR INANE COMMENTS ABOUT HOW I'M DOING SO WELL ARE REALLY TICKING ME OFF!"

 

I feel so mean about that.

Nothing coming down for the last half an hour in Florence.

 

It has been raining, sleeting, or snowing nonstop here in Independence since this morning. It's been sleeting for over an hour now.

Not looking forward to my drive across the county in a couple hours...

The sleet and ice started here last night so we woke up this morning to about 1/4" or so in the ground, made the drive to work fun and slow, started snowing around 9:00 this morning and still coming down.

I'm not normally. But I was fighting to keep my car on an icy road in some serious wind. It's all 2 lane highway with no shoulder, no margin for error....for over 60 miles.
