Beyond happy with the level of progress this team made this season. No, it didn't show in the W/L column but you could definitely tell by play on the field, attitude, etc.

 

Some fans still upset but for what?

 

Max smith nor Whitlow have arm strength to throw downfield. Every throw is under thrown. We have speed at the WR position but they can't get them the ball. Obviously some of the blame goes on Stoops and Brown but I think some fans are overly critical because they had unrealistic expectations to begin with.

 

If they can keep the majority of this class and get Elam then we really have a great foundation.

 

The freshman this year played really well. Give Hatcher another year in the weight room have the WR's work on their catching and this could be a solid team in the next 2 years.

 

I think we will see improvements next year depending on what happens roster wise.

 

I was disappointed with some games but excited about others with UK not giving up.

 

Still believe the future is bright.

I'm in the same boat. This team was much better at the end of the season then they were at the beginning. That's what your supposed to do as coaches, make your team better.

 

They were competitive in almost every game. Which is a big step forward over last year.

 

Lack of a decent QB is what really killed them. I wish they would have started Reese, everybody I know around the program thought he was the best of the bunch.

His team needs to get rid of Joker players. They are a cancer to this team IMO. I wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of kids not on this team next year. Stoops needs more of his guys that can change the locker room culture

Will Towles see the field with Barker coming in next season? I guess with the ineptitude of Smith and Whitlow I sorta expected Towles' redshirt to be burned, but maybe the thinking was that this was a 2-10 team regardless.

Stoops' greatest accomplishment of the season was the recruiting class. His second greatest will be keeping that class.

Ky. football is what it is.....2 to 4 wins per season according to who the cupcakes are and if they can win those....slip up on a very unprepared SEC team.....

Terrible season, saw very minimal improvement on offense and no clear cut QB going into next year. Defense was mediocre at best. This team is 3 years away from possibly competing.

Based upon the fact the team got worse as the season sent on and quit vs Georgia. Only 2 wins were against glorified high schools. No positive momentum in the offseason and the team is clueless on who the QB will be in August, not exactly what you would consider a good or decent season.

Didn't most pre-season predictions have UK going 2-10 or at best 3-9? Well, thats what happened. Nothing unexpected. Why are a few on here so downcast? I think UK's football future is in good hands and is very promising.

While I am not thrilled with UK's record, it just seemed this team was more competitive is most games than last year (Bama and UGA obvious exceptions) so that gives my some hope. Back during the early Rich Brooks era, UK was losing but with each season the losses seemed to be closer and closer so I was not ready to through Brooks to the curb. Finally some of those close losses turned into enough wins to get UK bowl eligible, UK had finally turned the corner and I have hope that it will happen again. Probably not next year but maybe the year after.
