I wouldn't think an endurance athlete would benefit from creatine unless you are strength training.

Muscle recovery seems like a big one too.

Yea it's pretty much what allows you to build muscle so quickly. Essentially you can work out harder, for longer and it requires less down time in between for your muscles to recover. The only thing to keep in mind is that just because your muscles are recovered doesn't mean your ligaments/joints are. I've seen a lot of guys rip/tear things from essentially over use. Just something to keep in mind.

Creatine gives me the BG's...

Big Grins???

The studies I've read that seem to support recovery benefits especially in endurance athletes were based on the individuals taking extremely high levels of creatine. The recommended daily dose is 5mg and one study I read said the participants were taking 4-6x that amount. I'm far from an expert on it but I would be Leary of taking that much. At 5mg I personally don't see much recovery benefit, if any, from creatine.

Do you currently take creatine? The stuff that I've read has generally said to take 5mg per 100 lbs of body weight.

Bubble guts!

We call it bubbly gut, same thing lol

Yes. Most things I've read said anything over 5mg per day is a waste and could cause kidney issues. I try to stick to the 5mg per day and if I'm seeing gains I figure it's working.

Today's workout---

45 minutes of:

Cardio

shoulders

biceps

triceps

abs

gluts

quads

Shoveling snow! :lol2:

I created a workout yesterday. 45 different exercises, 45 seconds each (15 second rest), 45 minutes. Rotated each exercise between plyometric, upper body, lower body, and core.

I need to correct my post, should have said 5g not mg.

Got in 2 hours of Basketball today. Good start to the week.

Did a fun one tonight....15 min running clock, row 2000 meters, when finished use remaining time for max double unders. Score is number of DUs.

Thanks. It was tough for a while but I've gotten in a groove. My losses have been: 7, 1.5, 4, 4, and 4.5. Most proud of the 4.5 during thanksgiving week.

4 more this week for a total of 25. One more week in contest. Originally I wanted to lose 20 but I am hoping for 30 now.
