Breaking: Ashland Daily Newspaper to Begin Scouting Teams Beginning in 2017

Dont surprise me at all.....CCH has a great defense and can throw the ball a recipe for disaster for JC. If you cant throw the ball you will never beat the blue boys from NKY....Looks like another big game in the fort next week....should be exciting.

Note to Johnson Central ... you probably need step up the schedule a little to get prepared for these games.

Congratulations to Covington Catholic you all were clearly on another level. It still astounds me of the level of high school football in Northern Kentucky. Johnson Central played a good game tonight we just met a better team. My only question is was this the team that played Highlands?

There are a couple of thing you always get at JC! A wonderful redirection of our National Anthem, Singing of My Old Kentucky Home, great food in the press box and some tough hard nose football. A few quick comments before going to bed

 

1) Super super impressed with the game plan and execution tonight- CCH did almost anything they wanted to on the ground. The rain and conditions made it less possible for a successful pass game

2) Wow it was great seeing Luke Bir play a game the way we all envisioned him playing in his Senior year. He was a man tonight

3) Ben Dressman gets better and better each game- terrific development. The coaches will have a nice problem to have next year

4) JC was visibly gassed - especially at the LOS. That going both ways stuff will come up and bite you

5) love the game day atmosphere at JC- the rain dampened the spirits a little- but not completely. Great crowd

6) I will end on this. Maybe one of the worst one sided bit of officiating I've seen in 10 years. Awful awful awful. Shameful shameful shameful. I bet if JC had 200 yards of offense, the officials also gave them 150 penalty yards called against CCH. Might have been a running clock if it weren't for the officials giving JC 30 yards on every down. Just how many ridiculous personal foul penalties can be called in one game? Helmet to helmet contact. Really- this is a penalty? Has that EVER been called in any game this year? The horrible pass interference penalty that kept the drive alive. The ridiculous mystery personal foul called against CCH after JC squib kicks it and the JC player drives our guy out of bounds. Really a terrible bunch of refs.

 

Anyhow- great job Colonels! You've fought through adversity like no team I've seen and here you are still fighting. To have this record considering what has happened with injuries is nothing short of amazing.
