Some of you crack me up. The JC faithful were not selling anything. I only know of two or three JC fans on this site. It was fans of other teams mostly talking about them. The locals expected to lose this game. Maybe not by that much but not a shock either.

Being a birds fan i wasnt trying to speak for him but i assume that is what he was saying. The offense was not the same against the Birds but the D was. Should be a good game...I hope not meaning i hope its a 4 td spread for the birds but CCH has been laying low on the talk and letting the play speak for its self. Kudos for them..I give them a ton of respect with injuries and for them to be where they are at right now....looks like they may be playing there best ball at the right time. They still have a big piece of Cake to climb! lol

 

There's a very good reason that many of us have maintained all along that a healty CCH is easily the second best team in NKY and KY 4A and can give HHS all we want on the field. This result shows it is true.

Give Cov Cath credit they flat out beat a real good ball team last night . I watched it all in the rain and CC flat out played us . The linemen won that game on both sides of the ball

You may be right about those in the know but even the Ashland paper predicted a big JC win. I don't think most of the locals expected this result.

It certainly shows that JC still needs alot of work and as others have stated they really need to start thinking about scraping the "3yds and a cloud of dust" mentallity...Just not going to beat the NKY teams playing "smashmouth football" in Nov.

Most? That would be disappointing given their season and having home field. Why would most think they would come up with a loss given they're undefeated season? I just don't follow that reasoning.

Maybe most is a bad term I used. Parents, students, etc. thought their team would win but I was referring to more of the barber shop straw poll kinda of thing. To get a feel of how good we really are each year I just head down to the barber shop. I guess I should have said most locals that were using the "eye" test instead of their heart thought JC would lose.

CovCath had a few bad calls against them. I wouldn't go as far as saying they were intentionally getting hosed. Haven't heard many complaints from their fans. Seems to be a classy bunch of fans.
