November 14, 201312 yr I love Chinese food but I'm always torn on whether to leave a tip or not. They all expect it and I almost always leave at least a dollar. Do you tip at Chinese buffets? Thoughts?
November 14, 201312 yr Usually leave a dollar. Maybe more if I'm feeling good and there was some serious water-refilling.
November 14, 201312 yr Usually leave a dollar. Maybe more if I'm feeling good and there was some serious water-refilling. Pretty much me too. $1 or $2.
November 14, 201312 yr Author Alright sounds like most of us are on the same page. I typically leave a dollar or two if she's pretty.

November 14, 201312 yr I am a two or three dollar tipper when in China. The servers recognize me and I always get fantastically quick water refills.
November 14, 201312 yr Wire to answer your question, yes please tip at least a dollar unless there is an issue. And if you want to really help someone out that has a tough job leave a dollar and the odd change.
November 14, 201312 yr Pretty much me too. $1 or $2. Do you tip more if they sing Christmas carols while you eat? "Fa-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra"
November 14, 201312 yr The only tip I would give, don't eat the meat. You NEVER notice any stray dogs or cats within a 1000 yards of a Chinese eatery.
November 14, 201312 yr I am a good tipper at other all other establishments, but at buffets I just can't bring myself to tip more than a dollar and whatever the change is to round it up.
