May have to rethink this game. No way Hatton is 100% in ten days, not after watching him in the Sorrell scrimmage. Might just be a rout for NCC. Anyone agree?

Agree 100%. Hatton isn't close to being ready for this game. Breds rout?

I thought it was going to be a rout before the Sorrell Scrimmage, so yes, I agree. :D

December games are for chatter....end of Feb and March are when the chips are on the line. If Hatton's not ready to roll, December will be a good opportunity for some of the other Dixie players to step up.

I am a Dixie fan and I agree that this will be a rout. Dixie looked far from ready at the scrimmage last week, and it wasn't just BH. Andrew Hedger and Drew Moore both just got on the floor for the first time last week because of football and Austin Schreck had been out for a significant amount of time as well because of his surgery. Another player who had missed time the week before was Daria because of a concussion. And Niehaus had an injury before that and missed some time.

They are nowhere near where they will be at the end of December.

So, with all that said they have nothing to lose in this game. They are the clear underdog and NCC is the clear favorite by a country mile.

After seeing Dixie this weekend, I'm not sure they are ready for prime time. They looked a little out of sync and Hatton looked less than 100%. I've not seen NCC this year but have had their starters in the gym since day one.

I don't think dixie will show much and this match up would be more exciting later in the year. I'm just glad hoops season is upon us.

Good luck to both teams, Stay healthy and/or get healthy.

NC wins by 14.

I think Dixie will be an ok team this year but will not challenge for the region title. Can they make the final four of the region? of course, but that means only beating one average team to get there, so don't get swept up in that. If they beat NC, Holmes, or CovCath, during the regular season I will be more swayed towards their chances.

IMO the Top 5:

1. NCC

2. Holmes

3. CovCath

4. Dixie

5. St. Henry

5A. Boone

One of last years highlights from the NewCath/Dixie game.

I have a hunch that the chemistry that produced that play is probably now even deeper, and this will be a commonplace play this season. I also think that Pangallo will impress more this year than is expected. Very smooth as silk player.

Brian Strong #4 Junior G 5'10" 165

^No Drew Moore in your list.

He would make 9 Juniors on the roster.

Moore is playing. Could actually end up starting to be honest. For not playing last year, he didn't look bad Sat. Did some good things and obviously had "moments" that showed his rust.

His athleticism allowed him to rebound the ball well.

After seeing Dixie Sat, I have to agree that NCC probably wins comfortably. I think Dixie is deeper by season's end but right now with Hatton not fully healthy and Dixie still getting their football guys in the swing of things, Newcath wins by around 10.

I found that roster on NKY.com.

Yes, I plan to see this one. The hill is not the most camera friendly place to shoot but I never let that stop me.

That is a MASSIVE understatement... The lighting (or lack there of) in there is HORRIBLE.

Drew McDonald imo is, or will be the best player in NKY this year. I said this in an earlier thread. I'm a big fan of Drew's game.

Dixie has a lot of athletic bigs and will be competitive in every game on the boards.

Drew is definitely one of the three best in the region with Bolden and Hatton. It will be interesting to see if they pound the ball into him. When NCC lost to Holmes in the region last year, they dominated when they went to Drew. I have hard that NC is going to run more this year. That will be interesting to see also. One drawback Drew has is he is not very fast. Everything else he is stellar.
