November 11, 201312 yr Will play in new stadium in 2017. http://m.ajc.com/news/sports/baseball/braves-plan-to-build-new-stadium-in-cobb/nbpNQ/
November 11, 201312 yr Interesting. At first glance, it seemed strange since Turner Field is relatively new. But after reading the article, it looks like a good move by the Braves.
November 11, 201312 yr I really enjoyed my one Turner Field experience...too bad. I also liked the 3 times that I was in the Georgia Dome too.
November 11, 201312 yr I'd be curious to find out how much Atlanta/Fulton County paid into the stadium project to keep the team in town for only 20 years of stadium use.
November 11, 201312 yr Author I'd be curious to find out how much Atlanta/Fulton County paid into the stadium project to keep the team in town for only 20 years of stadium use. The stadium was built for The Olympics, not for the Braves.
November 11, 201312 yr I don't care what they do, I just want someone to start spending money on bringing in some more players. And do some due diligence on them (I'm looking at you BJ Upton).
November 11, 201312 yr Shocked they dont just upgrade current park and save money, players dont go for the park, they go for the cash, aint like collge.

November 11, 201312 yr And Dan Uggla. True. At least Uggla gave them something for stretches during 2011 & 2012 - especially 2011. I can't think of a redeeming stretch of even 4-5 games for BJ Upton. All I saw was a lot of staring at the third strike, then staring at the umpire as if he thought this was going to be the time he didn't call it.
November 11, 201312 yr The stadium must have violated baseball's unwritten rules. Holding on to that aren't ya.

What causes a player to play that bad? He wasn't a great hitter before, but he was capable of hitting 25-30 home runs and a .240 average. Asking for .240 isn't much considering what he's getting paid...,
November 11, 201312 yr This move actually makes too much sense. It would cost the Braves over 200 mil to upgrade. Also this moves the team a lot closer to the fan base
