Can you now or have you ever been able to dunk??

I was just outside shooting hoops in the driveway with our first grader and some of her friends in our subdivision. We have a nice adjustable goal since her league plays on 8 feet so you know I am going to dunk a few. It didn't take long till a few muscles started to get sore just for 8 feet haha. I am 6'1" and could always jump. I could dunk a basketball on 10 feet in HS but man not now. I raised it up to 10 to show my daughter and friends......well I got stuffed by the rim. They all had a good laugh but kind of made me sad. It got me wondering who could dunk in their day?? and be honest. I couldn't do 360 or go all crazy but I could throw it down with one hand. Maybe 32 is old............... :depressed:

I wasn't blessed with hops so that's a negative. I know WV's gym was my best effort during my Sr season but sadly it never happened on a regulation goal.

I was able to dunk when I was about 20, nobody that knows me now and not then will ever believe that. I was 6'1" and played Rec Ball 3 nights a week. I couldn't dunk in a game, just could run up palming the ball and edge it over...but it was a dunk!!!

I could dunk a nerf bball on a nerf rim on the back of my bedroom door growing up.

I have no trouble getting my doughnut over the rim of the coffee cup.

Yes, but that was while in high school running cross country and track and immediately after while I was still in shape. Being 6'2 didn't hurt either. Can hardly touch the rim now though.

I could dunk when I played in college and for a few years after. At 40 I can still touch the rim. Not bad for being 6'.

You can most definitely add me to this list!!!

I wrote this thinking of you

Yes I could/can. 6'0"

No... not in the least, but being the talented bench warmer that I was, I was pretty darn good at spinning the ball on my finger. Coach wasn't too impressed with my prowess especially when the ball got loose during regulation play. :ohbrother:

I could dunk back in the day with ease. Now I can only do one handed dunks and never more than one or two a month! 34 years old feels 54 the day after basketball to me now.
