Well I guess that sounds better.

We have discussed for several pages the misconduct of the AD, coach, and Superintendent. One other question I have is where has the school board been for the past 8 years. My point is everyone in the area has know that something wasn't right. It didn't take Sherlock Holmes to recognize the amount of out of state transfers that didn't live in your community or at a minimum did stay there for very long.

 

For the record, I couldn't tell you one member of the school board so this isn't a personal issue with any of them. Maybe they just realize that they were in the state championship game last year. Who knows.

Results of an investigation into the eligibly of a student-athlete at Ashland Fairview High School is not on the agenda for the Fairview Independent School District board meeting Monday night.

That investigation has already cost the principal, athletic director and headfootball coach their jobs

Fairview Superintendent William Music and KHSAA say the eligibility issue involves one athlete at the high school. Neither will say which sport thestudent participates in.

WSAZ has learned that the investigation involves the football program.

Head Football Coach Nate McPeek tells WSAZ.com he was asked to resign over the weekend and did so, effective at the end of the current season. Music confirms that he did resign.

Music also says Garry McPeek, the high school’s principal and athletic director has also resigned and was reassigned to a teaching position at the elementary school.

Music says Eric Hale has been named interim principal at the high school.

On Friday, results of the investigation by the district, that began last Monday, were turned over to the KHSAA.

A KHSSA spokesperson told WSAZ.com Monday afternoon they do not have timetable on issuing a ruling in the case.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, Music said had not heard from the KHSAA.

The School Board meets at 5:30.

The football team has a record of 8-1 this season.

In October 2012, an eligibility issue involving two football players ended up in Boyd County Circuit Court.

Gary McPeek was hired, Chad was fired and Rex Cooksey replaced him for one season, then Nathan McPeek was given the Head Coaching position. In my opinion, it was nothing more then a way to get Nathan the job. They put Cooksey in for one season to try to make it less apparent.

 

Chad was an alumni of the school, and coaching his former team. I think he thought that was his dream job. But, in came some people that had other plans. I just wonder if Chad had to many morals and wouldn't play ball with plans to do unscrupulous things, so they got rid of him?
