I think Highlands pulls this one out. I don't know much about Elder this year and how good their defense is, but I find it hard to think they can stop Highlands offense. It will come down to Highlands defense and as long as they can slow Elder down their offense should be the difference in this game.

Highlands defense is usually pretty good, but they did struggle against UC for a bit and wondering if they can stop some big backs or not.

They are a balanced team. They have QB who can run and throw (think Dom McCoy) they have a RB who is a hoss and they have a very good #1 receiver who would be one of the top 2 in NKY.

I wish the game was televised because I'd like to DVR this one. Could be a classic. The only OH teams I am very familiar with this year is Colerain, Fairfield and Wyoming. Not familiar with Elder this year so I'm very green when it comes to predicting this game.

Birds will have some quick scores. See a game similar to last year with Elder pulling away late. If it is not close, bad night for Birds. This game is a Harbin mother load for the Panthers. Just don't see a Highlands upset. Hope I'm wrong.

I don't know how many DB's at Elder get a lot of playing time, but by the end of the game they will be very,very tired.

From a Highlands stand point if they try to spread it out and make it a track meet there doing to Elder, what Elder has already faced 3-4 times. I don't know the Highlands game plan. I live/work on the Elder side of the river and work with a few Elder guys so I'm hoping to learn some of their game plan. I know Peyton Ramsey has snuck up on people as young sophomore, I didn't even think Elder would be as strong as they are with a first year QB. In 2 years he may be the best in the GCL.

I will have to see if I can watch it after the fact then.....got another game I will be at Fri Night.

I'm curious if in fact Elder has already faced offenses like Highlands this year and have came out on top, that maybe the team that controls the clock will be the one that wins this one. It kind of goes against what Highlands does best, but I'm wondering if they will slow it down on offense just so they can try and control the tempo in this one a little more.

I watched the St. X game and Elder used Schroer primarily to set up a number of screens and slants that were very effective. When the receivers weren't there, Ramsey took off for an easy 10-15. It was frustrating to watch from an X point of view. They will pull the same tricks Friday and stay on the field a long long time, IMO. It's a game of matchups and Moe's line dictated the outcome of that one. Hopefully the Birds line will step up and do the same in the Pit. It's a tall order for the Bluebird defense but they do have the Weinrich factor.
