It was a telling sign on the last possession when the bengals only needed a 1st down to ice the game the bengals powers that be decided to let green-Ellis run 3 straight times knowing the odds were against him of picking up a first down. Tells you a lot about the faith they have in Dalton not trusting him to make the right throw on 3rd and short with the box stacked.

I'd take Tannehill, Smith, Weeden and Manuel over Dalton all day long.

They weren't moving the ball on the ground with the law firm. 19 carries for 60 yards is nothing to write home about.

 

I think Marvin just wanted to run time off the clock before punting the ball but Belichick used his timeouts (which he had because unlike Marvin, he knows how to time manage) and the Bengals were only able to run 27 secs off the clock before giving the ball back. That is why they should of tried to get a first down.

Dalton has been ranked between 16 and 22 in his career so you're not far off. He's better than maybe a third of the league.

Locker is better than him and Dalton is pretty comparable to the rest.

Unreal game from the defense. When the Bengals decide to run the ball and make an offense beat their defense they are very good. When Gruden thinks his play calling and QB are really good they struggle. Very telling they came out running big time early.

Another thing good about Dalton today was his 25 yards on 6 carries. He used his legs to get a 1st down and 4 yards on a draw to get them in position for a TD. He can make these type of plays with his legs to keep teams honest. I know he is not a running QB like Kap, RG, or Cam, but he should ake advantage of the opportunities when they are there, like today.

The coaching was so bad again today. Really starting to get laughable.

Dalton played well. That throw deep from the end zone was money. He was accurate today and did just what they asked. The defense was stellar. Now Dalton's throw in the red zone pick was inexcusible, otherwise he was what we expect from him. They ran the ball well enough today and they have to when teams play the safeties well back. AJ Mayo is a beast. This was a much needed win and they deserved it.

I thought when they turned Dalton loose today, when they had to, he was very good. Very accurate. One bone headed mistake in the red zone. I'll certainly take almost 8 yards an attempt and 75% accuracy.
