Bengals 13 Patriots 6

The bolded is not only hyperbole, it's highly debatable.

I don't think it's debatable at all. Peyton Manning will go down in history as one of the, if not the best QB to ever play. Brady was never in that conversation.

It was a one score game and about to be a two score game with less than 6 minutes left when they used their last timeout. You don't just save timeouts to save them, you use timeouts when it is important. You were up a score and about to be up 2 scores, when else would you expect you would need a timeout? Say if the Pats did go down and tie it up, there wouldn't have been time left anyways for the Bengals to have a chance. Your looking for something that was not there this time.

My favorite Bengals clock management and time outs are always those instances where they come out of a TV timeout and have to burn a timeout because the previous 2 1/2 mins they couldn't figure out what they were doing.

When did that happen? I can't remember one. Not saying it didn't happen, but I can't remember. Probably not a pattern

It happened back in 2010 or 2009 or swomething like that, it was the start of a new qtr and our ball. We come out of the tv timeout between qtrs and had to call a timeout because they had the wrong personnel on the field or something. Then the first game of this year against the bears we had to call bback to back timeouts lol, that one was classic.

Huh? Tom Brady definitely was in that conversation. 3 Super Bowls in his first 4 years, and then when he finally got some talent at WR he had his team go undefeated during the season and I believe that was the year Brady also set the Touchdown record. Brady definitely was very much in the conversation.

The thing people have to remember about this is that Manning has always played with talent and has always had a legit #1 receiver. He had Harrison, Wayne, and Clark for many years. Now in Denver he has Thomas, Welker, and the TE that is also named Thomas. Brady won Super Bowls with not much talent at WR, and then when he did have talent he was breaking records.

The best thing about all this is, we basically have gotten to watch 2 top 5 QB's of all time for many years with Manning and Brady. Manning though no doubt will go down as the best regular season QB of all time, but its amazing how far his play drops from his regular season play once they are in the playoffs.

Sorry, but Tom Brady has been in that conversation, if he's not now...

Brady 3 games this season under 50% and no TD passes 2 of the last 3 games. I think he only had 1 TD throw the middle game. Gronk was back this week and other big time QB's seem to make receivers better rather than the other way around. We sure he isn't declining pretty rapidly?

To put things in perspective what other QB has an undrafted rookie receiver that has to be their #1 receiver? Then even with that, they still have only lost 2 games and one of them was in overtime. It seems to me he probably is the only reason why they still only have lost 2 games. Most of his top receivers probably would have a hard time being a 4th or 5th receiver on teams.

Oh he's at a disadvantage no doubt. Did they feel he was good enough to overcome it and he's just not right now? I think 4 years ago he would have still put up much better numbers. I would argue Colston as a 7th round rookie proves that a great QB can help make a career.

Colston also has proven that he probably should have been higher than a 7th round pick, sometimes people just miss on the draft. Just like how Tom Brady fell to the 6th round lol.

Its because its Tom Brady for the reason why people still prepare to stop the pass, and dare the Pats to run. However he has no receivers now to get seperation, and most importantly his line is banged up and allowing him to get hit a lot for the first time in his career. Brady, Manning, Rodgers, etc are all mortal when they are getting hit a lot.

According to ESPN stats and info Brady leads the league in off-target throws this year (over or under thrown) and was 4th in the league last season.

Does Colston prove that in Oakland or Minnesota? The clear and obvious answer is no.

Minnesota possibly, because wasn't he in the league or just got in the league right when Favre was there? I mean we can go all day on guys who might or might not have proved things based on who they played with. Just like if Bledsoe never gets hurt, Brady may never get his chance with the Pats. And may have never went down as one of the best QB's of all time.

The receiving core he has now is the worst he has ever had, and is coming at the end of his career. Just very bad timing all the way around. The front office did him no favors this off season.

Which also gets back to having a horrible receiving core. The one thing Brady relies on is guys being at the right spot at the right time. If a guy is even a yard or two off from the depth he is suppose to be at, or takes a wrong angle, etc. It will make a pass look completely off target. Then when you add the fact that he is getting hit this year, because his offensive line is not blocking as well. We will see what we are seeing with him, and that is that he is mortal.

None of what you are saying was an issue last year though right when he was the 4th worst in the league at off target passes? Maybe he is declining more than people think and it's not only his receivers. He certainly is still better than most though.
