I'm also inclined to think there's more to this, though I could certainly be wrong.

It's ARIZONA. Isn't everybody packing heat down there?

More to this story than is being reported. The image of armed police officers in uniform at schools is common. Or should be. So why would this seemingly innocent incident startle anyone? I agree. He is a police officer and can wear his standard uniform wherever he wants. I went to the library the other day and was not at all uncomfortable by the fact that a uniformed officer was sitting at a desk. So what happened at the school the morning the officer dropped off his daughter? There's more to this story, one would think.

I hear that he was holding his daughters hand as they walk to the school and they may have been swinging their arms back and forth...is that the MORE TO THE STORY your looking for?

Look, a little kid went home and told parents that they saw a man with a gun. Parent freaks out and calls school and complain to Principal....all makes sense to this point right?

Then Principal the LEADER of the school, shows absolutely no LEADERSHIP by over reacting and calling the Officer/Parent telling him not to wear his uniform to school.

This entire situation is on the PRINCIPAL who doesn't have the common sense to explain to the first parents/complainers that it was just another parent who happens to be a police officer.

I'm on board with his post as well.

Wow me too. It's a trifecta for UK lol

Figure of speech, my daughter called me a room mother and she was too stubborn to argue with. :D

Don't do that. Just when you think you know a guy...

The level of stupidity on BGP is unreal. Cant you people see this was purely the problem of FOX NEWS ? Its FOX --- FOX -- it was on FOX ... FOX FOX it cant be simply the lunacy of liberals -- My Good Lord IT WAS ON FOX ! sheeeeew !

I believe I've figured this out. And, yes, Fox is in the propaganda business, not the news business.

Oh good, then they'll fit right in with MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, HuffPo......

Fox has their fair share of righties for sure , but they do give the opposing side a platform to speak and answer.

Fox's "opposing viewpoints" are usually weaklings -- people who are easily intimidated. Colmes, Williams and Bob Beckel are just props for O'Reilly, Sean Insanity and the hot foxettes with the short skirts on "The Five." Right-wing cable TV needs live targets, so that their viewers can say: "See that, Martha? O'Reilly really carved that guy a new ......"

It's all theater of the absurd.

Bob Beckel is a weakling lol. I heard it all.

I didn't say he was a weakling. I said he was a prop. But I can see how you got confused. I could have written it clearer. Beckel is a punching bag. He provides comedic relief. I'm also sure he's well paid.

FOX allows weak opposing views. MSNBC allows no opposing views. Either way it's the viewers who lose.

Actually, you have a valid point. Would you concur with me that a child walking hand in hand with an armed, uniformed police officer could symbolize father-daughter sweetness in one culture but trouble in a different culture?

If that stirs trouble in our culture then I think I need to move to Canada
