October 2, 201312 yr Before the BP flub, Cueto shown in the dugout smiling about something. Must be thinking about that long vacation that starts tonight. 94 out of 162 games I'm fine with it. It's a grind. 162+ and it's a problem. Just my opinion.
October 2, 201312 yr 5-1 is huge lead in playoffs. Mangers do not mess with a pitcher that is struggling at all. So, if Lariano struggles any, they will bring in someone, they will not take the chances they would in regular season.

I resigned myself to that a couple weeks back. If they come back and win, it will be awesome. But I have no illusions that they will win a World Series. If they aren't going to win a WS, it doesn't bother me much when they go out. I am tired of watching this crew and am ready to move on to next year.

It was obvious during the season they were going to have to have near-perfect games from their pitchers in order to overcome the offense. 75 win team with just an average staff.

I understand your point but in my opinion, one shouldn't be smiling/goofing around when you're getting your butt kicked in an important game. I guess I'm venting my frustration with this team.
October 2, 201312 yr Joe West is not good at calling balls and strikes. He is all over the place back there. But I am biased. I never have liked him as an ump ... ever since he shoved Joe Price years ago.

Just because you can't expect them to be all business everyday of a 162 season, I give them that. Division opponents and any game with postseason implications and I HATE it. I'm with you 100% about Cueto tonight.
