The Eli Manning thread got me thinking, there are quite a few QBs that I feel are overrated. Who's the most overrated QB in the league?

I left off options for Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers, because I can't imagine anyone thinking they're overrated (and the poll only allowed 20 options).

Also left off the scrub QBs of the league.

I have to give the nod to Cam Newton, although Eli, Romo, and Flacco are right there IMO.

Cam Newton is 2-13 in games decided by a field goal or less. In other words, he's won two more than me.

I think Flacco is no where near a max deal player.

Eli has had rough start to this season but I cant see how he could be the "most" overrated. He wins the big game. He has two rings. I think Matty Ice is has got to be considered as overated, the guy kills it in the regular season, but when the games count during the postseason, huge choke artist.

Romo is pretty bad too, what has he done over his career? Yup, Matt Ryan and Tony Romo are my top two choices.

I'm sure he isn't the most, but I still voted for him because I think he should be considered...RG3.

After the first 2 games of the year...appears to be RGIII.

Before we get to in to this conversation, one has to be rated to high for them to be overrated. People often miscontrue the word to mean "not all that good." So when you put down a name, think where most people have that person rated in the hierarchy of QBs and assess from that point. Sam Bradford for example. His value was overrated coming out of college, but no person now thinks he is rated all that high.

I'll take Russell Wilson. I don't think he's a bad player, I just think plenty of other QBs would have the same success as him if they had his situation. I don't think he compares to Luck or RG3, but his name is always going to be linked to those two because of the draft class.

I was listening to Hasselbeck on with Cowherd today. He said that unless you know how often the D gave up a late/last-minute lead (like yesterday) then it's hard to use that against him.
