Louisville 27 Kentucky 13

Featured Replies

UK defense played admirable. They wore down in the 2nd half but they had been on the field the whole day. Can't expect much better out of that unit.

Overall I am not unhappy with today, compared to where we were two weeks ago. I saw some bright spots and at least the Cats had a pulse, unlike several afternoons last season.

UK's defense certainly played well enough for the Cats to get a win. It was the offense that was horrific--bad QB throws, tons of WR drops, & two incredibly costly fumbles that led to UL points.

At this point, Jalen Whitlow has no business being under center unless the game is way out of hand.

UL's defense played much better than anticipated, but conversely, the offense wasn't as dominant as I expected. The Cards took control on the ground to start the 2nd half & capitalized on turnovers.

Cats get a bye week before 3 poundings from Florida, South Carolina, & Alabama.

Whitlow did lead UK on their only 2 TD drives.

If UK doesn't just give the ball away this is a totally diff game, ULs only test of the season has mixed results but they did enough to beat UK. But so did Western.

Is Western Kentucky the best team in the state of Kentucky? I think it's debatable if we're talking a one-and-out.

Cards are much better than WKU.

Louisville loses a lot of style points today in the eyes of pollsters.

That is exactly what I was thinking, while watching the game. UL will likely finish undefeated this season, but the lack of any signature wins will likely keep them out a a championship game as well.

It will take a near cosmic realignment for UL to play in a national championship game. As far as style is concerned, winning is stylish. Winning when you are not at your best is stylish. UL took care of business in the 3rd quarter. when they needed to. Before the season I thought UL would lose 1 or 2 regular season games. I still think this. I think I'm correct in saying that only 2 teams had undefeated seasons last year: ND and the OSU.

You are going to have a hard time convincing me a Louisville team who only beat Kentucky by 14 but has an undefeated season belongs in the national championship game over a 1 loss SEC team or a 1 loss Stanford or Oregon team.

Negated by 2 huge turnovers.

It will be impossible for me to convince you because I agree with you and wouldn't even try.

Agree with this too.

After 3 games, Jojo Kemp leads UK in rushing with 167 yards on 18 carries. That's a 9.3-yard average.

Great atmosphere today. For a while I firmly thought today was UK's day. Teddy didn't impress me today. For UK the future is bright.

I am disapointed not in my Cards. But the guys dealing the Cards.............

Shawn Watson - IMO he spent to much time trying to run the football in the first half. I thought he was playing for Par. 2nd half he allowed Teddy to get in a flow.

Last two Drives UK had they score a TD - Vance Bedford backed off the throttle. The DB's started playing 8 yards off and allowed the Cats to catch ball.

So no happy with coaching.

Aside from depth what does Dyer bring to the table?
