September 15, 201313 yr And here I thought this thread was going along white nicely without trashing UL. Oh well I suppose I should have known it wouldn't last. It is a rivalry game but having both teams do well is good for the state.
September 15, 201313 yr That's what I don't get... People acting like winning another BCS game would be such a terrible thing. Maybe I'm easy to please, but I'll take another BCS win. Nothing wrong with it but in Teddy's last year you have to want more than what you already have, another Teddy aint coming around for a while.
September 15, 201313 yr Nothing wrong with it but in Teddy's last year you have to want more than what you already have, another Teddy aint coming around for a while. Of course Louisville wants more, but you can only take advantage of the opportunities that you are given. UL can only win the games on their schedule, not games people think should have been on their schedule. If they go undefeated and win another BCS game, the year would be considered a tremendous success. Regardless if we think she should have a shot at the title.
September 15, 201313 yr I said the other day on this site if it isn't a blow out like all the Cat fans predicted then it would help them feel good and give the something to take shots at Cards. What I know if UK has put together a good coaching staff. The practice every day. So one would hope they play better each Saturday. Also what I know 70K strong for BBN is more like 50K. All the hype from spring ball and it doesn't carry over.
September 15, 201313 yr So going to Sugar Bowl is a bad thing? I think Card fans know the schedule would hurt them this year. Not anything they can do about it. ESPN killed them when they destroyed the Big East No, going to the Sugar Bowl is a great thing. And you can schedule better teams. Last I checked, ESPN didn't make their schedule. It's not like the Big East was a great conference anyway, and with re-alignment going like it was, Louisville was playing with fire having not beefed up their schedule already and got burned.

September 15, 201313 yr Congrats to Louisville on a great game. Thought Perry looked good carrying the ball, and Teddy played well in the 2nd half. Hats off to them.

UL had games schedule with Georgia and Vandy both dropped them. They tried this year to schedule Bama and Texas AM not sure why it didnt work. I am talking about ESPN being behind this Super Confernece stuff. ESPN was out to end the Big East conference once they turned down the ESPN deal 2 years ago. Never said it was the greatest conference just saying it was better than their current conference. Good news is that ends next year.
September 15, 201313 yr Where did u get 70k from? When did they have 70k? Commonwealth Hold 70K. UK and BBN always bragged about their 70K. They didnt show up today. They should because this coaching staff will get things turned around.

The only thing I can find is Vanderbilt dropping Northwestern and Ohio State, but nothing about Louisville.

This seems to me to be the best way to look at Louisville's situation. The Card's have some things they had better improve upon or a team better than the Cats(and no I don't believe UK is the best team they will play) will take them down.
September 15, 201313 yr Anyone at the game, did you hear the band director for UL call the win over Florida the "biggest upset in BCS history"? I'm not trying to bash Louisville but even that got a laugh from me.
September 15, 201313 yr People can talk about Louisville's schedule all they want. Yes, today's game wasn't impressive by any means for the Cards with exception to Perry and Brown. As far as losing style points, I'm not sure if much is lost as many are thinking. Regardless of how UK is, this is still a rivalry game. I still believe the Cards will be undefeated at season's end. I'm happy for UK and believe they have a good future ahead with its young guys.

I believed Louisville was going to win that game regardless of what the analysts thought.
