What has happened in Oxford? A tradition-rich institution like Miami of Ohio should not stand for what I saw today.

 

This worst team I have seen EVER in Commonwealth Stadium. Goes back to the opening of the stadium a long time ago.

I liked the sense of urgency they played with coming out to start the game.

 

Let's face it over the last few years the Cats have played to their opponents level way too many times.

 

Smith had trouble on some out patterns getting the ball to the receiver, too many times they were having to go to their knees to make the catch. May have rushed those throws a bit.

 

I liked seeing Whitlow throw the ball some and Smith run the ball some. The last thing we need is for Whitlow to only run the ball, that makes it way to easy for opponents D.

 

Would like to have seen Whitlow in the slot or somewhere else to be able to get the ball in his hands a few more times.

 

Young guys played better today and seemed much looser than last week. Call me a sucker or whatever but I like hearing the Air Raid siren on passing TDs today.

 

New Guys made it happen today, Timmons seemed to get 6-8 touches within a series or two.

Congratulations to the Cats. I haven't followed anything about Miami for at least a few seasons. I figured they weren't that good but would say they are one of the worst in football right now.

Miami had 122 total yards of offense, 23 yards PASSING, UK had 117 yards in penalties.

 

That's crazy; when you finish a game with five more yards than the amount of yardage that was accumulated from penalties by your opponent, indications are that the season will be very long.

Supposedly that is why he didn't get the initial nod to begin the season. His arm strength hasn't recovered and I think its showing in some of the throws he is making. If you look at the balls he was throwing in the past compared to what they look like now, there are some big differences.

MU has really hit the skids. I hate to see that.

Smith threw some ducks, but they got to the intended receiver.. But overall looked good.

I was glad to see Stoops get his first win at UK and in his head coaching carrier. Miami, OH was what this UK team needed (am absolutely pathetic team) going in to the stretch that they are starting next week. Going to be a while before they get another W. I just want to see the effort stay up along with the attitudes and them not get down through this upcoming stretch. Also, hopefully they will stay healthy as well.
