Opening kick off fumbled deep by Highlands. Next play SK goes in from @ the 10 or 15. After Highlands receives the following kickoff, they fumble on 1st or 2nd play deep again. SK takes it in from there and misses the extra point. So two scores in first three minutes of the game then nothing else. SK drove deeper than Highlands throughout the game but could never sustain a complete drive. Highlands O struggled. SK defense seemed more aggressive.

Little FYI for you my friend. I will vote HHS over SK every time. And so would everyone else above. It's called being a "Homer". Not that you would know how that is. Lol!

 

I'm sure both teams will learn from this game and hopefully it helps them improve as football players to be successful at the next level. Congrats to SK on the win. Maybe they will meet again in the Championship.

Very fair assessment! I believe 4 or 5 fumbles and two deep and down 13 in the first two minutes. SK moved the ball better but you can't win with very short fields. HHS offense struggled tonight... IMO they did not play very well and SK had a good defense.

As Bluedad said all the scoring was done very early. SK moved the ball very well but shot themselves in the foot every time they were ready to punch it in. They threw a pick on the HHS 10, they were called for a hold on a run that got them down to the one yard line. They fumbled on first and goal from the 7 and snapped the ball over the QBs head late in the game when they were on the three. I don't think HHS crossed midfield in this game.

 

On a side note SK has scored 6 TDs in 2 games by 5 different players. They really do have a lot of options.

So did either team threaten to score after the first two touchdowns of the game? Did Highlands attempt to throw the ball much or pretty much stick to the run game?

Heard the Highlands coaches had head phone issues at SK? Anyone? Not accusing anyone of any wrong doing but just sounds a little fishy to me especially with the outcome.

That's not surprising!

What does it say about a program when someone boasts about beating your freshmen team. In the end it is not bragging, it is a Big time deal. Being form a small school in NKY, anytime we beat Beechwood, NCC, or a bigger school at any level/sport it was a BIG deal. Those schools are striving to be what Highlands/Beechwood/NCC are and that is perennial powers in their division (statewide). It is major respect as long as they don't take it too far! Congrats to SK and best of luck to all teams and may GOD Bless all the athletes and protect them from injury!

Makes sense. The frequency hammers SK was using probably caused those Highlands fumbles early in the game too.
