What does it say about a program when someone boasts about beating your freshmen team. In the end it is not bragging, it is a Big time deal. Being form a small school in NKY, anytime we beat Beechwood, NCC, or a bigger school at any level/sport it was a BIG deal. Those schools are striving to be what Highlands/Beechwood/NCC are and that is perennial powers in their division (statewide). It is major respect as long as they don't take it too far! Congrats to SK and best of luck to all teams and may GOD Bless all the athletes and protect them from injury!

Heard the Highlands coaches had head phone issues at SK? Anyone? Not accusing anyone of any wrong doing but just sounds a little fishy to me especially with the outcome.

HHS really struggled with SKs D-line & LBs so it was very difficult to see if they could throw the ball or not. Honestly they did not try it much. They tried some direct snaps and misdirection to Pulsfort but just couldn't get him loose.

Iam highly offended for not being named on the Ukfan All BGP (Highlands) team.

Is Highlands attempting to platoon at the Frosh level? I haven't seen a game this year, but it appeared Highlands was moving in that direction last year. If they choose to platoon at the Frosh level then it may pay dividends down the road, but it will most certainly impact their record in the near term.

I am pretty sure that is what SK is currently doing.

Nice win for SK and UK#1fan. I'm honored that I made his list--just don't know if he picked on the people who voted or if I managed to get under his skin at one time or another. I don't think there is much difference us, we both support our schools and root for them but we Bluebirds don't brag about games, much less a freshman game--we save our bragging for numbers with 23 being the next one coming up soon.

I don't think so. A freshman win is good and something to get excited about. But how many freshman championships has Highlands won in the past 10 years? How many state championships have they won? Freshman wins tell you one thing ... there is some talent in the pipeline. That is all it means and that is what the Birds fans know, so they aren't going to get too wacked out about a freshman loss nor too hyped up if they win, even if they win a freshman championship. It is all just part of the process with the focus on state titles.

For the most part it seemed like they were. Pulsfort did play both ways but not every series. I would say they and SK are similar where there #1s on O are there #2s on D and vice versa.

It is also possible for one superior athlete to dominate at the Frosh level, which is much more difficult at the varsity level. I remember when Josh Conner was a frosh at Highlands and they would win big, I would ask myself is this team that good or is Josh just that much better than everyone else?

They have no kids that are number 1s both ways. When they go to 4 rec sets they will bring in their CBs as extra wide outs. They will also run some linemen in and out to get some playing time both ways.
