Always like seeing the local/state teams win, even the "cake-eaters". Looking forward to seeing the new up-grades to the stadium.

I root for Highlands every week they aren't playing my Pioneers. Which, by looks of the schedule, is every week this decade.

^ Agree, I root for every KY team vs. an out of state team no exceptions ever!

 

There was a time in my life when I'd have listed those exceptions. But I don't hold onto that stuff anymore. There isn't a single school I wouldn't pull for against an out-of-state opponent.

Maybe a more appropriate question would be:

 

If you are not a die-hard Highlands fan, would you rather see the game in person or watch it on ESPNU?

If yes, you should be because they are playing an out of state team, if not, why?

Why would you NOT root for the local team. It can't do anything but bring recognition to our area for them to win, if nothing else. It's no different than rooting for all the local teams in the state playoffs, even if you are rivals during the regular season.

I am a fan of good football so that would make me somewhat of a fan. Fully respect the Birds. Just don't root for or against them unless they're playing the Cougars or Colonels.
