June 11, 201313 yr Is this not the perfect place for him...no other team is as ready to cut through the media crap as the Pats. I think he will be less of a distraction here than any place else he could go. I agree with this. I dislike the Pats just about as much as other team but I think this is best place for Tebow, they'll use him multiple ways.
June 11, 201313 yr Perfect place whether Gronk is healthy or not. With Gronk you could have Gronk, Hernandez, and Tebow on the field and still be able to line up in the 4 wide spread stuff or double tights with a fullback(H- type.) It will give d coordinators headaches because they will not know how to substitute defensively based on the offensive personnel.
June 11, 201313 yr Funny how before he signed everyone said NO team was a fit for him, and now that he has signed the majority are saying NE is the PERFECT place for him...:ohbrother:
June 11, 201313 yr New England was the best place for him. He'll be a stud role guy there. Can possibly even learn some QB things too.
June 11, 201313 yr I'm still not seeing him being able to excel at TE. He lacks separation speed (4.7-4.8 40 time), has never run a pass route, and lacks true TE size (he's light). And who knows about his hands and ability to block DE's. A lot would have to change quickly for him to have a legitimate shot at TE. I see him being the number 3 QB. It's a perfect spot as there will be no controversy. There's no risk to NE as they won't be pressured to play him, and can maybe work on some of his mechanical issues at the QB position. They found a way to use Doug Flutie....
June 11, 201313 yr 4th year minimum salary is over $700,000. Not bad at all. Of course, he has to make the team which at this point is certainly not a given by any means. How many years to they have to have to get the pension?

How many years to they have to have to get the pension? "the I think its 4 years to get a pension. I hope this works out for Tebow, again, this is probably the perfect situation for him. Established starter and backup, innovative coach who will handle the media. By all accounts, Tebow is a great guy to have in the lockeroom and even if he doesn't play much, he'll be an asset. Don't expect to see much of him on the field though. Too many of his supporters get Tim Tebow "the guy" mixed up with Tim Tebow "the football" player. Great guy....but the jury is still out on the football player part.

June 11, 201313 yr Can't wait for Bayless to discuss why Tebow should start over Brady... I don't think he is going to argue that. He loves Tom Brady and has never said that Tebow is anything more than just a starter, not of Pro Bowl caliber.

On some level I think the Pats took Tebow just so they could show the Jets that they can thwart a circus.
