What I was saying is that Boise had more going for them than U of L did and it never helped. One marquee game wouldn't even be enough. Quality BCS bowl wins, marquee national audience games, continued success, the under dog story, etc. it's hard to look at that schedule and justif Louisville over a one loss team from the Big 10, PAC-12, or Big 12, let alone the SEC. Let me say first that I don't believe Louisville will get a shot at the title if they go undefeated. I still think they have a better shot than Boise State ever did.

I think Boise State had its shot but dropped the ball when they started the season ranked higher. For a team like Boise State and UL in this case to make it happen, you have to start out ranked higher and you got a legit shot. UL will start ranked much higher than Boise State in either of their undefeated seasons (unranked and #16, respectively).

You don't have time to jump that many teams.

Northwestern is a team that imo hardly anyone thinks about but they are well coached and going to be good, how good I don't know but I think that they could definitely upset a team/teams and hurt their chances. OSU plays them on a national televised night game if I am not mistaken and that is one game that I think could possibly hurt them this season. Northwestern is a dangerous team for any higher ranked team. jmo.
June 10, 201313 yr If not something's wrong! What a cake schedule (compared to the likes of the big conferences). I do realize UL beat Florida last year, but if they had to have the grind of your typical SEC schedule they would be lucky to win 7-8 games......
June 10, 201313 yr If they play like they did in the Sugar Bowl, they can go undefeated. If they play like the did the regular season, it's not likely. This is a huge question mark. Was UofL's victory over Florida UofL playing out of their mind for one game or did they finally get to the point over being a contender at the end of the season? I don't know and unfortunately playing the schedule they will may not answer that question.

You know the schedule is incredibly weak. I am sure Alabama would trade schedules with UL in a split second. UL would not do the same.

UL would not do the same. What do you want Louisville to do about their schedule? They can't make teams play them. Yes, the schedule is weak. But this beating of a dead horse is getting old. Teams in the so called "power conferences" have less than desirable schedules as well, but we don't hear about those. And I beg to differ that UofL wouldn't take Bama's schedule. Have you seen their schedule for this upcoming year? There's one game on there that I'd make a guaranteed L for Louisville, and that's LSU. Every other one is more than winnable.
June 11, 201313 yr I like UL but I think people read too much into the bowl win over Florida. Motivation, or lack thereof, is so important in bowls. With all this heady pre-season talk, I can see the Cards losing 1 or 2. It will be up to Coach Strong and Teddy to keep team grounded. If Charlie can accomplish this, then his coaching stock rises significantly in my estimation.
June 11, 201313 yr UL would not do the same. Auburn 2012: 3-9 Chattanooga 2012: 6-5 UT 2012: 5-7 Arkansas 2012: 4-8 UK 2012: 2-10 Georgia State 2012: 1-10 Colorado State 2012: 4-8 I beg to differ, I think UofL would be fine with Bama's upcoming schedule. :lol2:
