Very good question, obviously if there are more than two unbeaten teams it would lessen the chances due to the UL schedule. Actually they could possibly miss a title shot to a one loss team depending on who it is and from what conference. I'm not saying it would or should be the case, just a possibility.

Since UofL didn't schedule any significant OOC games, outside of UK, it will take the other members, who did, to lift the conference perception. Michigan and Maryland at UConn SMU at Texas A&M and TCU, and at home against Texas Tech UCF at Penn State and at home for South Carolina Temple at Notre Dame USF at Michigan State and at home against Miami UC at Illinois and at home against Purdue Arkansas at Rutgers Those are all huge games ... for Louisville. I have a man crush on Tom Jurich. If I'm a university president and need to upgrade my athletic department, I'm throwing all kinds of jack at this guy to get him to leave Louisville. He's done an amazing job raising UofL athletics to where it is, now. It boggles my mind that he would drop the ball on this one.

May 22, 201313 yr Well, I'll ask this: if UL goes undefeated this year, and everything else played out exactly like it did last year, would UL get into the title game or would it still be ND and Alabama, like last year? I am thinking it would have still remained Bama/ND. I am not seeing how they could have jumped Bama. The only thing going for UL is that they will start higher in the rankings due to their Sugar Bowl victory. All seasons are judged upon their own merits; but, in UL's case that game had huge ramifications for them potentially playing in the following year's title game. Had they lost that game, even in a nail biter, they would probably be ranked 10 spots lower, imo.

Coming off of Sugar gives Cards a big lift by comparison. UL much BIGGER name nationally than Boise St which equals bigger possible draw. Teddy in the running for Heisman at the end of the season and Cards undefeated would likely give them a legit shot at title game.

Kellen Moore was a legit Heisman candidate and Boise had multiple BCS wins. They also had marquee games something Louisville doesn't have this season. Just like with Boise it will take a lot of luck for an undefeated Louisville to get in IMO.

Quality BCS bowl wins, marquee national audience games, continued success, the under dog story, etc. it's hard to look at that schedule and justif Louisville over a one loss team from the Big 10, PAC-12, or Big 12, let alone the SEC.

True but did Boise State ever go undefeated in a season where one of the top two teams dropped games? The year the played OU, was it Texas and USC in the title game? Bama and Texas the other season they went undefeated.
