New York Post that "rich Manhattan moms" have discovered a way to skip lines at Disney World: They hire disabled guides "to pose as family members" so they can skip to the front.

 

"The black-market Disney guides run $130 an hour, or $1,040 for an eight-hour day," the report said.

 

The Post anonymously quoted one mother as saying, "My daughter waited one minute to get on 'It's a Small World' -- the other kids had to wait 2 1/2 hours. You can't go to Disney without a tour concierge. This is how the 1% does Disney."

 

The woman said she hired someone from a company called Dream Tours, the Post reported.

I've staggered into a few episodes of "Real Housewives" while my wife has been watching and after seeing those shows...this isn't really surprising. But it is terrible!

Whatever works, if I had the money I would do it to. At least they are with their kids and not in some meth house or passed out from drugs while they play in the road.

 

I bet Disney will start cracking down on disabled, better prove your hurt.

Not saying that I agree with what they are doing just pointing out that Disney already has their own form of this practice. Heck, I've stood in lines at Disney for hours. I wish I had the bucks that I could afford the service.

 

The shame is that this will likely make it harder for really disabled people to get this service at Disney.

Same here. If they have the means to do it, don't see the harm in it.

Pretty solid entrepreneurial idea of whomever started marketing this by the way.

So the disabled child gets into Disney for free and gets paid a good chunk of money to be there. Rough day...

Yeah it may seem a little despicable but really no harm done.

I read a book called "The Dark Side of Disney" that has a lot of ways to get around the rules and/or save money at the parks. It even tells you how to get to off limits areas of the parks. Pretty interesting stuff.
