Heard that Simpson was not. Heard that he was reached out to and said "No Thanks".

Jones has a pretty good gig at GC. Not sure that he would leave but you never know.

I would think if Jon Jones had applied there would have been no interview process. He would have been hired on the spot. Just my opinion...

Agreed. If Jones was interested, why bother interviewing? And why did it take so long. Do the obligatory interviews if you must and hire Jon Jones if he's willing to make the move.

Jon Jones will not leave Gallatin for Grant, period. Can't believe it's even mentioned.

Reinhardt interviewed. The other three didn't apply. I believe most of those who are being interviewed are not from Northern Ky.

I agree. I believe Coach Jones graduated from Grant, but that's it as far as the ties go.

I would think Tim Mefford would throw his name in the hat.

Where are they from?

He might...but, I'd think the folks at Grant County would've had a good first-hand look at him during his 10 years or so at Williamstown. Tough situation to win consistently there, but I'd be shocked if he was named HC at Grant.

No one in Northern Kentucky wants the job. They know its a no-win situation. The others from across the state just haven't figured that out yet.

I've heard that Coach Mefford has the itch to be a HC again. However, doubt he'd be interested in jumping into the mess at GC after seeing first hand while at SK and WTown. He'd be a great fit though, lives down that way and has those years at WTown calling plays running the program.

I agree but I don't see it happening.

Announcement is expected to be today.
