Kentucky Recruiting 2015

Calipari just wrote an article himself saying that platooning killed recruiting and they won't be doing it again.

I wouldn't say that at all. More building roster depth. Not much depth at the wing spot right now.

Just weird the guys on the team say they wanna go to war with what they have, Cal is trying to get whatever becomes available.

What do you want the guys to say? "We need to add a couple more guys"?

They only have 9 scholarship players for next season. Adding another 4 year guy wouldn't be a bad thing.

I'm sure Cal is more than comfortable going with what's there already, but doesn't hurt to look into available options.

If they get one more at this point the main impact it will have is in practice. I do think they need one more big body for practice purposes.

Any word if Murry or Thon Maker is reclassifying?

Matt Jones stated yesterday, and I agree with him, that Thon Maker will not be at UK.

And Evan Daniels commented that Murray's process will take a long time. He has decided to take visits: Oregon, UK, & UCONN for sure. But he still has to decide if he even wants to reclassify.

KeVaughn Allen has asked Florida for a release from his LOI. No clue if Kentucky would be interested or even allowed, but he's a top 60 guy I believe.

I think most anyone who actually watched him play would have said the same thing. I had a pretty good feeling he wouldn't be at Kentucky when I watched him at the Hoopfest. And that doesn't even take into account the "external" factors.

Florida has one that was a McDonalds All star. Not sure of his name. I wondered if he would leave and be available.

Florida did not have a McDonald's All-American this season.

Villanova transfer Dylan Ennis is headed to Oregon. Has to help with Murray.

I thought they did. I know Florida State got 2...right?

I would think so too, definitely doesn't hurt. All a matter of if he decides to reclassify or not.

I'm not so sure it does. They have Ennis now. Kentucky has Ulis and Briscoe. I know who worries me more about PT. :idunno:

247 has the following as their top 100 uncommitted 2015's left

10-Thon Maker

54-Tevin Mack

61-KeVaughn Allen

84-Georgios Papagiannis

88-Marcus LoVett

89-Kobe Eubanks

94-LeGerald Vick

Are there any favorites for they're services?
