Kentucky Recruiting 2015

Oh okay, I wasn't sure because John Anthony said he had concerns with UK, so wasn't sure what that really could be.

I would say all recruits have concerns. The biggest one IMO would be the best fit for them. Who is returning, who is going pro, who will my teammates be,especially if UK is recruiting you.

Great info and video on Luke. Averaging over 40 points a game, doubles in rebounds and assists and has a 4.3 GPA.

Even on an “off” night, Kennard has 40 points in win

FRANKLIN, Ohio — Seeing Luke Kennard is appreciating Luke Kennard.

The 6-6 junior had 40 points on what his coach and parents both considered an “off game” here Friday in a win over Oakwood. He was 13-for-28 from the field and 12-for-16 at the foul line. His biggest issue came on 3-pointers where he went 2-for-9.

In the weeks ahead, I’ll have stories with Kennard and Bales along with thoughts from a teammate and parent of another player along with videos with Kennard’s father and grandfather, Bales and Kennard. Plus, I hope to have some video highlights along with an emotional pregame speech from Bales that I guarantee you will enjoy.

I can’t remember enjoying a day more than the one I had here — and if Kennard picks UK, he will be a fan favorite immediately for what he does on the court as well as the way he handles himself off the court.

Great article on Luke Kennard. The Heagens mentioned in the article is my aunt and uncle.

[h=2]High school coach on Luke Kennard: “He was kind of playing chess and everybody else is playing checkers”[/h]

FRANKLIN, Ohio — Luke Kennard showed why he is one of the nation’s top recruits in the 2015 class when he scored 40 points in a home win over Oakwood here Friday in what he described as an “off” game and then came back with 45 points against Taylor County and highly-regarded 2016 point guard Quentin Goodin Saturday in Louisville.

Franklin coach Brian Bales knows the 6-6 Kennard could have his choice of schools even though he has narrowed his list to seven, including Kentucky and Louisville.

Bales shared these insights about his star player.

Charles Matthews is set to announce on Tuesday.

UK/Mich State/Illinois/KU/Marquette are the final 5.

Evidently Calipari visited his high school today or yesterday. Matthews is good friends with Tyler Ulis and Matthews head coach was Orlando Antigua's high school coach.

If he pulls the trigger for UK what does this mean for Kennard? Does UK envision him as a wing type player more than a two?

Is there a link or anything to watch it?

Believe there is room for both. One a slasher, other a shooter. Both can play 3 positions also.

From KSR:

What kind of player is Matthews? He says he likes the dribble drive, which is the perfect match for his ability to slash to the rim and finish through contact. He’s long and lean, and excels at attacking along the baseline. He’s also a good on-the-ball defender, and is capable of becoming the “lockdown defender” we’ve grown so fond of.
