April 16, 201313 yr I feel like it might be about time to get Paul back out in the OF for a start. Seems like he hasn't had many at bats lately.
April 16, 201313 yr Reds win 4-2 on Jackie Robinson Day and a guy named Robinson scores the winning run. And he was wearing #42!!
April 16, 201313 yr Interesting article on Baker's "mismanagement" of yesterday's game. Reds rescue Dusty Baker from blunder - SweetSpot Blog - ESPN That article is spot on to what I said when they decided to put Chapman in the pen. It is time to throw that book away. I know Broxton blew up the other day, but the Reds have two closers and it is stupid to say neither of them can go more than 3 outs. The Reds should lead the league this year in saves of 4 or more outs.
April 16, 201313 yr Was at the ballpark last night, one of the few times I'm probably going to be there as "just a fan". Took advantage of the buy one, get one free deal that I saw on Facebook on Friday. Not many others did, only 17,000 and some change last night. I think that we need to start a fund for MJ and his girl. Between last year and now this year, the Reds are 7-0 when we are in attendance together. Since I've known her, they are 9-0 when she's there. And even better, she grew up an Indians fan and they gave us Choo.
April 17, 201313 yr Arroyo is only effective 5 to six innings then he gets hammered. It's the same thing game after game. Why not make Arroyo a middle relief pitcher. You would have the starting pitcher throwing fast balls at 90 mph, have Arroyo come in for relief throwing his fastball at 80 to 85 mph. Then have Chapman come in to close at 100 mph, which after seeing Arroyo's fastball,100 mph would look more like 115 mph to the batters. FWIW. Arroyo is tied for most wins in the NL since 2006, and you want to make him a relief pitcher? :lol2:
