Predictions...my left leaning friends will say that this is no big deal and my right leaning friends will lose their minds. BGPers under 30-35 won't have a clue and could not care less.

 

Before someone puts the story on here about the slips of paper from POWs that she turned over to the VC during her tour of North Vietnam during the war...that is a farce, she did not do that. She did go on NV radio and call Americans murderers, she did get photographed sitting at a NVA Anti-Aircraft gun with a NVA helmet on looking like she was aiming it preparing to shoot.

 

So is this a Big Deal?

I did find it very hypocritical of Hanoi Jane to tell veterans calling for a boycott of her movie to get a life. Not a fan at all of Jane.

No big deal, haven't paid attention to her since she got out of her leotards in the 80's.

She is a good actress, but if she thinks she's gonna get any relief from vets, especially Vietnam vets, she's got another thing coming. It's interesting to hear the guys in my dad's unit talk about her ... :lol:

Make that BGPers under 40 instead of 30-35. I could not care less. No clue as to why Jane Fonda playing Nancy Reagan is a big deal.

What is really odd is that Alan Rickman is playing Ronald Reagan. Quite the deviation from Professor Snape at Hogwarts.

 

Hanoi Jane aside (for many, not me), this seems like a cool movie.

I assume there was a book? If so I'll bet it's an interesting read. No one knows more about what goes on behind the doors than the staff members.
