April 16, 201313 yr Personally I think it's an insult to Nancy Reagan. And there it is … Would you rather they have selected from a "Rush-approved" list of conservative actresses?
April 16, 201313 yr And there it is … Would you rather they have selected from a "Rush-approved" list of conservative actresses? What ever. Don't give a crap about Rush or your stupid, snide comment. Nancy Reagan, is a class lady with an entirely different perspective of life than Hanoi Jane. She would help anybody who needed help. As opposed to crapping on the people who gave their lives for their country. I doubt Jane Fonda would do the same for someone who disagreed with her politics. Oh wait she didn't. She called them murderers.

Oh wait she didn't. She called them murderers. I don't know if I would agree with that in totality. If you read anything from Reagan staffers or Secret Service she was a hard woman to get along with at times. We are also dealing with a lady who was a very "Hands on" First Lady before anyone heard of Hillary Clinton. *She was flaky, consulting astrologists on whether certain trips by Ronnie were safe. *Treated Donald Regan (Chief of Staff) harshly and pushed for his removal because he didn't like the color coded calendar based on astrological signs. *She had a lot of influence on Reagan behind the scenes that most staffers thought was not good. I don't care for Jane Fonda. And Nancy showed enormous courage and fortitude in carrying for Reagan at the end but she wasn't always that saintly appearance in her life. :thumb:
April 18, 201313 yr ^ Nancy Reagan & Hillary Clinton were two of the most hated people by secret service agents, according to that book by Ron Kessler.

How dare you sully the name of Saint Ronnie and his Queen!?!?
April 21, 201313 yr She is a good actress, but if she thinks she's gonna get any relief from vets, especially Vietnam vets, she's got another thing coming. It's interesting to hear the guys in my dad's unit talk about her ... Dad never used to cuss much, but if he happened to see Ms. Fonda on the tube or hear mention of her, the obscenities that would come from that man would make Richard Pryor blush. I can understand the veterans hate for her. Having political views are one thing, colluding with the enemy in an active war is another. Every time I hear of or see her, I can't help but remember that old bit from Cheech and Chong off of their album "Big Bamboo". Cheech turns to a channel on the TV, and there is a scream. Cheech: "OOOOUUUUU, a horror movie" Chong: "Is that Jane Fonda?"
