April 14, 201313 yr From what I heard from the scrimmage tonight and previous rumblings this is how I'd rank the race so far: 1)Whitlow 2) Towles 3) Smith... I think you still move Whitlow to receiver because he'd be a great for there and with Towles there isn't much drop off. Cobb was a good QB but elite receiver, I think that's where Jalen is right now. But if he does stay at QB he does deserve to start at this point IMO.

April 14, 201313 yr Wrong. Why don't you reply with something intelligent? From what I heard Towles was the best at the scrimmage last week with Whitlow and Smith behind, and Towles had the best week of practice. You can't base everything of one game. Yes Towles struggled but it wasn't like Whitlow was the best the day before. It's been a different person everyday being the best, and yesterday was Whitlow.

April 14, 201313 yr Wow! That should make things interesting and fuel the competition. Let me be clear. Whitlow didn't SAY those words. My point is he is probably thinking "why am I the one everyone is saying should be moved to a new position."

Every time I saw Whitlow take off running with his "black no touch the QB jersey" I figured there would be those fans that would think he looked the best. It was obvious the defense was told over and over - do not touch the QB. The officials did not blow the whistle until it was obvious a defender was right on top of the QB. In this type of scrimmage Whitlow's pull it down and take off style has an advantage. He kept drives alive with his feet. Not sure he would have been so effective if he had on a white or blue jersey. I didn't see any of the three QB's move to the front of the pack, nor any of the three hurt their chances. I think it is still wide open.
