Sorry. U15

When did AAU change to grade level instead of age?? How can this happen. Makes no sense to me. You have 16 year old freshmen and 17 year old sophomores. I always thought AAU had to be based on your age. That was the whole point!! At least it was when I played ( even tho that was 15 years ago LOL)

TBC (Timberwolves) are in a bracket with the SC Royals, Atlanta Celtics, and the AL Terriers in Knoxville. Team Manimal also representing KY down there this weekend.

Saw where U15 Hoops Dreams won the Bearcat Classic. Anyone have any info from the tournament? Who played well for Hoops Dreams?

NKY Jazz won the 9th annual tournament of champions in Cincy this weekend.

They won all their pool games by 20 or more and in the tourney defeated a team from Louisville (Retro maybe), SMAC, and Ohio Elite. Good team effort. SMAC gave them the best game and HD were down by 10 at the half but came back to win by about 6.

I thought Holbrook nd Trentman were playing with the Shining Stars?? Is this not the case?

Hoop Dreams 15u has a really strong team. I'm hoping to get a chance to see them play soon. I would love to see them play the Magic 15u team. That team is loaded !! Would be one heck of a game

Does not look like it. With the Crons organization being less than promised over the past couple of years and other commitments by the coaches, the Crons went by the wayside. There originally was talk of them staying together and moving to the Shining Stars organization. The bulk of the kids wanted to keep the core group together than someone resurrected the NKY Jazz giving them that chance.

Hoop Dreams will be in the state tourney so maybe they will play then. I hope so. I would like to see that match up too.

I do not know who's who for Hoop Dreams but they apparently beat the Cincy Lakers U15 team by a large margin this weekend. The other team in that pool -- out of Indiana, I believe -- was also pretty hard core, and my impression on Sunday was that the Lakers didn't make it out of their pool. I literally cannot remember the last time that occurred.

Here is a link of a recap of the Bearcat Classic from this past weekend. Looks like Owen County big man Carson Williams is carrying his strong freshmen season for the Rebels over to the AAU circuit with Hoop Dreams.

Buckeye Prep Report: Bearcat Classic-Final Day Report

Now that the high school season is over the AAU season begins soon. Post teams and rosters in this thread. I'm looking forward to the summer. I can't wait to see who the dominant teams will be.

Hoop Dreams has several grade levels, including 15U, 16U & 17U. I only know the roster for the 15U team. Also, I know that they are ranked 13th nationally for their age group in Division 1. Here are the players:

Malik Dow (Ballard) 6'4" F

Carson Williams (Owen) 6'5" F/C

Paul Price (Henry Clay) 5'6" G

Jordan Perry (Morgan) 5'11" G

Will Hager 6'3" (Mercer) 6'3" G/F

Anthony Robinson (Frankfort) 6'3" F

Malik Manica (Shelby) 5'8" G

Zac Pulliam (Harrison) 6'4" F

The coach may be adding a player or two, but these are all returning from last year. Team played in several high-level tournaments last year and are going to this year as well.

got to see them play last week thats a pretty good ball club good size boys everyone was talking about the williams kid
