March 12, 201313 yr Nice showing, particularly with the number of young players on the team making the transition to college while playing for a major program.
March 12, 201313 yr Did he say that Anthony Davis was the 4th leading shot taker on last year's team?
March 12, 201313 yr Dan Patrick made a general comment on one and done players. Cal took the comment as a barb against Kentucky's one and done players and got pretty chippy. The interview was spirited. Cal went against the grain and said that he strongly supported doing away with the one and done rule.
March 12, 201313 yr Usually DP is pretty tame in his interviewing.......................Kind of surprised me.

As should everyone....if Cal is getting the best one and dones....it would stand to reason, he'd get the best of the rest...

Cal has repeatedly said he doesn't like the one & done rule (favors either the baseball rule or at least "straight to the pros or stay two years"), and has actively campaigned against it; but will not shy from recruiting the best talent (many who will be one & dones) until the rule changes. What college coach REALLY wants to coach a whole new team of high schoolers each year??
March 13, 201313 yr Cal will continue to get the best talent, even if kids are required to stay four years.
