Sounds good. He's the one guy on the list I hadn't ever heard of. How big is he? Does he have a finesse game, or is he more of a bruiser? Also, any idea what kind of college attention he's getting?

Banger. He weighs 265. Has several JUCOs after him. They following have been to watch him: Vincennes, Kaskaskia, Olney Central, Shawnee, among others that have been in touch.

That's a solid 12 players in my eyes. The only teams from NKY this year are NCC and Holmes. Not a hater but its the truth.

A. CovCath won at NewCath.

B. What did this comment have to do with this thread?

C. How would Holy Cross not being a "team" impact Campbell being a candidate?

This seems like an axe-to-grind post, Cool.

I could think of 20 players I would rather have than Quick. But that's just me.

The Ky-Allstars will have 40 Sr boys at try outs in Georgetown. Every head basketball coach has the right to vote for ten players. The player of the year from each region gets an automatic invite. The additional players are selected by the ballots turned in by the head coaches. The team is then chosen after try outs by the 16 coaches that won coach of the year in their region. No politics unless coaches decide not to vote. Indiana's team is selected by the game director and a few advisors.

Thanks for the info

Maybe now that iota laid it out for us, we can find where the problem lies. Maybe the coaches from specific regions/areas simply don't vote.

And considering Indiana's success over KY in this series, maybe their method is better. Not to mention their talent.

This team should be 12 "college ready" players .... because Indiana's will be. I don't care how it's done but get 12 players that can compete! Good high school players are different than the kids that will go on to a solid college career. Inviting the POY of each region is a nice touch ... to narrow it down to 12 players from all the great players we have in Kentucky is tough to do.

Grundy should have been player of the year in fifth hands down

Emanuel Ewootoah from Cordia would be a good addition to the team. He's only 5'10 but is very efficient PG. Of course, one thing working against him making the team is he is one of the Canadian transfers. I don't have a problem with that but I know some folks do.

I think Quick is a outstanding athlete, but one of the top 12 he is not.

Really? Get out much? :D

Maybe not but his athleticism and his defense will be needed against Indiana.

Patrick Elliott had an automatic invite in 2006 for being named KABC 10th Region POY but he chose not to attend the try-out. Belcher is the only player from PCHS to make the team. He made the KY-IN All-Stars in 2005.
