I didn't really care for the Alicia Keyes' version of the national anthem. There is no questioning though that it was probably the longest version of the national anthem by far.

"America the Beautiful" song was great, I loved how they did it with the kids.

 

Alecia Keyes imo did a great job on the National Anthem. So many people try to put their own "spin" on it and it sucks. Keys sang it right, like the song is supposed to be sang.

 

Beyoncé certainly looked great (duh.) but I didn't like the performance, if it was a dance contest o.k. but her attempt at singing was just bad.

 

I liked the Dorito commercial with the goat -

I liked the one with the kid going to the prom alone, I forgot what was advertised but loved the commercial -

The Go Daddy commercial was just disgusting :lol:, the "slobber kiss" :eek: ...not a good sight -

The Taco Bell with the senior citizens partying was really good,

I agree that it was slow but I did like how she didn't go into a spin like some do on it, with that it doesn't sound like the Anthem.

I think Leon Sandcastle was probably my favorite commercial which is irony that the NFL has the best commercial during their own championship event, doesn't happen too often.

Her thing is dancing. She also sings.

 

I'd go to Racers if she was there.

 

I would live at Racers if she performed there.

 

Jeep and Dodge Ram commercials connected the most.

 

Awful commercials though. Teasers were interesting.

 

Bring back the wazzzzzzup, Bud Lizards, etc.

I am a casual NFL fan and this SB was not all that appealing for me. I planned to watch it but I fell alseep and missed the whole first half, save 57 seconds.

 

I watched most of the halftime show. I'm not into Beyonce and for the record I agree with VOR, not enough showcasing of her singing talent, although her other talents were displayed well.

 

When the lights went out I changed the channel and flipped back every now and then to check the score. I ended up watching the last minute or so and agreed with the call to give a safety even though the talking heads broadcasting did not.

 

Did they ever say what caused the blackout?

 

I missed the commercials but it sounds like I didn't miss much.

Hmmm ... maybe so. Not going to beat a dead horse, especially when I am in the minority. I will leave it with this comment - there are hundreds of women as good looking who can get up there and do what she did. Heck, she had 20 or so doing the same thing right behind her. But none of those 20 behind her can sing like her and we didn't hear enough of that talent. :walk:

 

To each his own. The only time I listen to Beyonce is when she is on a track with Jay-Z. She gets no play in the PP92 G-Ride.

I wish Jay-Z would have made an appearance last night instead of Destiny's Child. While I absolutely LOVE Beyonce, I thought her show was a little on the X side for such a family friendly event. All across America, children everywhere were being sent out of the room and straight to bed during that performance. A 2 second nipple shot was nothing compared to all that gyrating!
