February 9, 201313 yr I have only ever used glocks. I've shot other guns but not enough to judge them. I currently have a glock 35, 22, and 27. I like all three but probably enjoy shooting the 35 the most.
February 10, 201313 yr I have a Glock model 22 .40 cal, love it. I've also always liked the classic 1911 and Springfield XD's.
February 11, 201313 yr Author I didn't want to start a new thread so ill put this here. Yesterday Walmart changed their website, at least on Ammo searches. In the past I could type In "ammo 9mm" and see if the local Walmart had any, as well as be able to search al Walmarts's in a certain radius, now you can't! Hope they Re bracing for the big increase in phone calls for ammo, just from me at least! lol!

February 14, 201313 yr You and my dad too. Jarheads!:lol: That's true. It's just such a great weapon. Nicely balanced. Fires when covered with mud, sand and everything else. Only possible negative is the limited capacity. But that's why they taught us to aim before we squeezed the trigger. BRASS.
February 19, 201313 yr Author We should all start calling just because.:jump: Went to the local Walmart today, the sales person said a few days ago they kept track of the calls, over 180 calls in one day in the sporting goods just asking if they had ammo. He said in the past it would be about 10-15 calls per day, until they changed their website 2 weeks ago.

Preferably, a 44mag revolver with a 6" barrell or longer. The kind of pistol I would have to carry in my wheel barrow... Pistol experts: What should I expect to pay for such a gun?

Just looked on gunbroker, and what you are asking for will be in the 550-600 range in the Taurus, add 200+ for the Ruger, depending if you want Redhawk or Blackhawk and then 1000ish if you want the Smith with that barrel. I've never owned a 44mag., but my dad had a Blackhawk growing up. Fantastic pistol, only fired it once myself when I was a young teen. Cannon is all I remember. I've had pistols bigger than that, but never louder, ha.
February 22, 201313 yr Going to pick up the Sig today. Going to the range tomorrow with it and the Kimber to feed them a little.
February 23, 201313 yr Okay men, I have now fired the Sig. Love it. The grip isn't as comfortable as the Kimber. I am not as accurate with the Sig. But the Sig is considerably heavier, which I thought I wouldn't like, and target acquisition was way easier with the Sig when firing in succession. Smooth operator too. While I would take the Kimber over the Sig if I had to choose, I have to say that the Sig is a very very nice weapon. Very happy with the gun. My youngest is just a natural with a pistol. I say it's young eyes, but it's more than that. Just one of those people who doesn't have to "work" to visualize and acquire the target. He put em in a 2inch group at 20 yards. I wasn't nearly that accurate.:irked:
