Porky
Same thing happened a couple years ago when Bellevue got in and got beat by close to 50 by Holmes. Same year they lost in the state championship to MC. They definitely need to seed. Does anyone know if they voted today for seeding for next year or when that voting occurs? Clyde
I read that this is the last year of the blind draw as a result of Newport voting to seed. True?
Porky
The good news about this district is that they voted to seed next year. Thanks, you just answered my question. I assume the voting took place before the draw.

Porky
I read that this is the last year of the blind draw as a result of Newport voting to seed. True? If Newport voted to seed that is great, but now do they vote again next year or once you vote to seed that district always seeds?

All State Baseball
It's better to seed than the blind draw
Lawnboy13
Four teams next year going to get a severe "beatdown"!
Porky
It's better to seed than the blind draw I completely agree. The only negative is now Bellevue and Dayton will have to play Newport, NCC and Highlands during the season. Those games are probably not good for anyone. But I completely agree with seeding. Hope it will continue this way. That way the best teams will be in the regional tournament.
Qryche11
If Newport voted to seed that is great, but now do they vote again next year or once you vote to seed that district always seeds? It depends if they can continúe to fill their roster with Cincinnati talent.
Walter
It depends if they can continúe to fill their roster with Cincinnati talent. And I've heard from a couple AAU coaches that there may be help on the way next year. On the flip side, I've heard Ethan Snapp will be going to Boone if/when Moss comes back. CatPride24
Not if they're smart. If you pound them they will go back to a draw.
