December 20, 201312 yr ......... A little shocked by the Gold Star mentions over Skyline. You can take that Skyline crap back over to Ohio! Dixie Chili is the BOSS!
December 20, 201312 yr Because skyline chilli is terrible? Gold Star is my favorite and Dixie is my #2. When I visit back in KY my favorite place to get Coney's is the Gold Star in Bellevue . The best Gold Star, by far. Owned by the legendary Chili Rick!
August 11, 201412 yr PP92 & Timberlake got me hooked on Chick-fil-A, so I now have an updated list: 1. Burger King 2. Chick-fil-A 3. McDonald's 4. Taco Bell 5. Arby's

August 11, 201412 yr Greatest fast food burger ever. Not true. Backyard Burger beats the pants off of anything Burger King has ever done.
August 11, 201412 yr Not gonna list a top 5, but will say there is a new place in Frankfort called the Cookout...kind of an eclectic menu for a fast food joint...can get sides such as a bacon wrap or quesadilla in stead of just the usual fries...also have Lexington (NC) style bbq, which I haven't tried yet. Anyway, best fast food burger in town, by FAR. They also have Cheerwine on tap...I grew up on the stuff and love it. The company is based in NC and most of their restaurants are located there, but have been branching out and now have 3 in KY...I think the others are in Murray and Richmond. Give it a try if you pass one.
August 11, 201412 yr I am old school, so here goes: 1) Long John Silvers - Great memories with my grandad there. He would drive 20 miles out of his way to take me there. He said it was for me, but I knew better. Malt vinegar is great! 2) Arby's - 1st FF I ever ate in Okolona growing up. Love Jamocha Shakes. Used to ride my bike there with grass cutting $$ to get one. 3) McDonalds - McRib is my favorite sandwich ever and I know it ain't ribs 4) Hardees - Mushroom/Swiss burger is awesome 5) Gold Star - not even close, much better than Skyline. August 11, 201412 yr I'd argue that Culvers isn't fast food. Yummy burgers but not fast food.I would argue that it is. They have drive-thru windows and the service is pretty snappy. I would have included Culvers in my list but dropping the Walleye sandwich from their menu cost them a spot.
August 11, 201412 yr In no particular order my favorite national fast food places (those commonly having drive-thrus) are: Raisin' Canes Chik-fil-a Steak-and-Shake Tim Horton's Zaxby's The best fast food that I have ever had was from the many locally owned and regional chains in Mississippi. Tony's Tamales, Kim's Seafood, Bopp's, Hickory Pit Barbecue, and Penn's (fast catfish), all in the Jackson area, have some of the best southern food that you will find anywhere, fast food or not.
August 12, 201412 yr I haven't read the whole thread or posted here yet, but my top 5 local fast food places (OKI area) are: 1. Skyline (over Gold Star only because more menu variety) but I like Gold Star's chili better 2. Burger King (agree on Whopper being the best fast food burger) loved the Satisfries when they were out 3. Wendy's 4. Rally's 5. Penn Station I only like McDonald's out of convenience. The Latonia store is always hopping. Best fast food I ever had was What A Burger in Austin, Texas...man that was one good burger.
