December 19, 201312 yr The older I get, the less I like any fast food except Chik-fil-a and Roy Rogers. I have never been a fan of Burger King and yes, their fries are bad! Roy Rogers ... I was just talking about that place Tuesday night as I sat and ate an Arby's plastic roast beef sandwich. I was remembering how much better Roy Rogers' roast beef was. Also, I disagree with that kid above on the best fast food burger. I like Wendy's better than Burger King. And I think Arby's curly fries are worse fries than Burger King's. Yeah, my trip to Arby's the other night confirmed why I rarely eat at that place.
December 19, 201312 yr Author 1. CFA 2. White Castle 3. Jimmy John's Still thinking. Still haven't finished this: 1. CFA 2. In-N-Out (worth the hype and could move up if I have it a few more times) 3. White Castle 4. Jimmy John's Still thinking...
December 19, 201312 yr Roy Rogers ... I refuse to eat Arby's. I'd rather drive out of my way to Eastgate and get the real deal. In fact, I may have to venture over there tonight since I'll be out. I've been craving Roy's for awhile now.

December 19, 201312 yr Is that the only Roy Rogers around ... the one in eastgate? I am going to have to hit that place the next time I am over that way. Yep, the only one left. Oh, and if you go, bring cash. That's all they take for payment.
December 19, 201312 yr Yep, the only one left. Oh, and if you go, bring cash. That's all they take for payment. I just googled it and it said there are 51 Roy Rogers restaurants left in the US.
December 19, 201312 yr I just googled it and it said there are 51 Roy Rogers restaurants left in the US. Sorry. I thought you meant around here. I think this is the only one in the greater Cincinnati area.
December 19, 201312 yr Sorry. I thought you meant around here. I think this is the only one in the greater Cincinnati area. I did mean Cincinnati. I just mentioned that because I was looking for other locations and saw that number.
December 19, 201312 yr Oh, and the name is Roney's now in case you are trying to find it. The owner did not want to pay the franchise rights for the Roy Rogers name so he changed it.

December 19, 201312 yr I feel left out so here is mine........... 1. Gold Star 2. Burger King 3. Pot Belly's 4. Taco Bell 5. Wendy's
December 19, 201312 yr OK, here are my top five: 1. Penn Station - philly cheese steak is my favorite fast food sandwich; home made fries there are awesome. 2. Frisch's - it is all about the tartar sauce; I even dip my fries in the tartar sauce. 3. Wendy's - IMO the best quality in the burger fast foods, very good chicken sandwiches, fries are very good and the fastest drive thru by far. 4. McDonald's - Don't ask me why, but I need to get my McD fix if I go a couple weeks without it. I demand a surgeon general investigation. 5. Very tough to choose ... Skyline, White Castle, Burger King (almost completely because of the original chicken sandwich) ... I guess I will go with White Castle at #5. Additional comment - I find myself caring less and less about french fries as I get older. I often order a couple sandwiches and no fries when I go to a fast food burger type place.
December 19, 201312 yr No doubt on McDonald's coke. McDonald's coke is untouched. Don't know what is in there but that is the greatest fountain drink on the planet. McD's does have by far the best FF Coke! Only place that is better IMO is Coe's Steakhouse in Russell Springs, they mix theirs just a little bit stronger I guess. BK Coke is easily the worst IMO. Friend that worked in restaurant sales for Coke said that McD's mixes exactly the same at all restaurants as far as mix to carbonation and exactly what Coke recommends...says many others mix it weaker to save money. Pepsi sucks everywhere.

Original Chicken at BK is their best now, Whopper is very good but BK seems to use lower quality vegetables than they used to and Whoppers aren't as good as the old days.
