I haven't had one in years, but it was that compressed, mechanically separated, whatever you call it crap patty. Same that Wendy's uses for their Crispy Chicken sandwich. I can basically only eat chicken at these hamburger joints, and I can't stand the compressed stuff. As for the mayo, it just may be the ones up here, but they put enough mayo on the bottom and top buns for about 6 chicken sandwiches.

Yuck... that sandwich is gross. So is Burger King in general. They were pretty good years ago, but now they make me sick. The Whopper used to kick butt, now I question whether it's really food because it sure doesn't taste like it. Very bland. :puke:

December 20, 201312 yr I agree, BK has the best burgers. I used to agree, but the BK's in around Somerset make a Whopper that barely resembles the ones from 10 years ago as far as taste goes. Quality of pickles, lettuce and onions is lacking at all of the BK's around here...my wife gave up trying to get a tomato that taste like a tomato years ago.

I completely forgot about the soggy lettuce. The last one I had had so much mayo, I could barely tell there was lettuce on the sandwich. For a fast food chicken sandwich, I have to go with Arby's Chicken, Bacon & Swiss. Wendy's has good chicken sandwiches. For grilled, Chic-fil-a is good, but small.
December 20, 201312 yr Oh, and the name is Roney's now in case you are trying to find it. The owner did not want to pay the franchise rights for the Roy Rogers name so he changed it. Next to never in the area, but If I am will have to stick around all day to relive all my favorite stuff. This was the restaurant of my childhood, and miss it more than any place ever. :cry: Years ago during my first day ever in Manhattan, I stumbled upon a Roy Rogers and excitedly had my first meal there with high expectations. It was one of the grossest meals I ever had in my life. It was more or less Roy Rogers ghetto style and downright disgusting. I guess RR's quality all depends are where they are located. It rates up there with a meal that I had at the McDonalds in Louisville while attending a concert at the Toy Tiger years ago where the entire staff was numbly walking around in a stoned daze and forgot to cook my quarter pounder, or at least anywhere near all the way. Both my friend and I felt nauseous and took turns forcing ourselves to regurgitate it. That may sound disgusting, but nowhere near as disgusting as our experience stupidly eating part of it before we realized how awful it was. Any Louisville natives remember the Toy Tiger? Wow... that was a most unusual experience. Had no idea beforehand that the show that I was attending was also in a trailer trash strip club. :eek: We also stupidly made reservations ahead of our visit there to stay in the hotel across the street thinking it would be a convenient place to crash after leaving the show. Bad idea. We ended up opting to just drive home that night after losing the cash we spent on the room.
December 20, 201312 yr ......... A little shocked by the Gold Star mentions over Skyline. Because skyline chilli is terrible? Gold Star is my favorite and Dixie is my #2. When I visit back in KY my favorite place to get Coney's is the Gold Star in Bellevue .

On a related point to this...Fall Break we went to Florida, on the way home we stopped at a McDonalds for a quick lunch when we stopped to get gas in Alabama. Being the fall I'm used to seeing Pumpkin Pies available with the Apple Pies during this time of year atMcDonalds...not in Alabama...no Pumpkin Pies to be found, instead they had Sweet Potato Pies.
