If you ever feel like doing something insane, try the burpee mile. You do a burpee but instead of jumping up you jump out, like a broad jump. Where you land is where you do your next burpee. You continue until you've gone a mile. I haven't mustered the stupidity to try this one yet.

That sounds intriguing. I wonder how long something like that takes?

1:30 would be a pretty good time. I've guys do it in close to an hour and some take over 2 hours. It will end up being around 800 burpees, will all depend on how far you jump.

Some of the guys from my gym did it a year or a couple of years ago with weight vest on.

Holy crap.

Could they even move afterwards? Ha

For those who have done the Insanity workout did you also follow the nutrition guide? I don't really care for it but I wanted to get opinions on it.

hoops, here's one for you. You can scale back the reps and/or rounds as needed. We did it tonight at my crossfit box.

6 rounds for time

24 squats

24 push ups

24 step lunges

400M run

We subbed a 500M row instead of the run, too dang cold.

I did 3 rounds of this with modifications. (Afterall, it's Rookie Fitness!)

24 Squats

15 push ups

24 step lunges

Then ran up and down the stairs 5 times. It was a challenge but I feel great!

Anyone have a link for proper form for step lunges?

Also:

1 min. Plank twice

and......6 Burpees!

I skipped the twists because it appears Randy and Clyde ate them all yesterday.

Ok----what did you do? Roll call. Let's hear it!

Neither my wife nor me did. We were on our own diets, just not the one they provided.

No Way! I can't even imagine that.

Getting ready to go work out. Going to do some strength training. Also going to try and do some intense cardio at the end. Wish me luck.
